Bama, with an inferior Qb; threw the ball deep Multiple times this week successfully. I think we see Joe Air It Out this week.

A&M put a spy on Milroe due to his running ability. Given Milton can run too, although maybe not quite as well, Milton and the coaching staff will have to recognize this pre-snap and exploit the fact they have one less defensive player in the play.

He has to run the RPO or we will not have a chance to score enough points to wn. He complete a couple of slants agains SC which were open. This may help draw the LB or safeties toped up some intermediate and deep throws. If that happens, he has to hit the deep ball.
Milton will not run the ball. The Rpo is useless with him as a run threat. He kept it once and scored 81 yard td. No one will respect him as a threat and this is holding back the offense.

This week will reveal if we have an offensive line or not. aTm has 5 stars across the defensive line.

Misread. He will be the fastest player on the field. Alabama (Badly as I hate them astardbas), will beat the Vols handily in Tuscaloosa. UT barely got by them last year in Knoxville WITH Hooker/Hyatt/WRIGHT. And IF you watched the A&M game, Milroe is the reason they won the game. So bama is close to who they were, and UT is not, and bama wants revenge. Think it was loud @ Uga LY? It will be louder. I deal in reality; and don't let my fandom blind me.
If you can’t see how massive the dropoff from Bama’s offense with Bryce Young to this year’s Bama offense, you’re blinded by fear.

I hope Milton plays to potential starting this week. However Milroe improved. That may have been his best game.

I'm fine with bazooka Joe trying some deep shots but we need to pound that rock! We have three great backs and an improved O line. Up tempo and let it rip!!!!
This offense has to run the ball, to go fast.

The 81 yard TD was not a RPO. It was a called keeper. He does not ever run the RPO. He will throw the ball into coverage but not run it.

What on Earth are people smoking to believe Joe Milton will suddenly become a consistent ...QB??

It's like ...fans just throw out their hopes and dreams, and wait for them to manifest lol.

I'll take a 28-27 win for the Vols if we run the ball and play good defense.
Rattler suddenly became a consistent QB in one game….unfortunately against us 😳

And if Milton had over thrown a sure TD like the on that Milroe missed by 5 yards to Burton, a bunch of fans here would be smoking Joe on the big grill.

Well, heck, they already are.

I think you're right, though, we need to run the dam ball against TAMU - a lot.

While true, the opposite can be said about their Defense.
I watched a lot of that game & Milroe is coming into his own. Their deep ball scares me. It'll take a near perfect game from us to have a chance on their field

I have no fear, as I'm not on the field. Get back with me following the game. I study CFB with a passion. Bama is trending up, and likely to win the West. Young was a unique talent, but this year's team is better balanced overall. Much as I'd love to see a UT win, that game could get ugly. Bama wants payback for that Historical loss last year, embarrassed to the entire world. Too many 5 stars on that team to beat them at their place especially when they are motivated. Milroe isn't BY, but He can run over people and run by them too.

It hit me today that Joe Milton is the literal antithesis to Brock Purdy. Milton has all the physical gifts, but does not have 'it'. Brock Purdy has nothing but 'it'. And it makes all the difference.

That's not at all a dig at our guy Milton. He's a good QB who sometimes does things no one else on the planet can do. He's not going to lose games with terrible mistakes, and he's never going to carry a team with his passing game.

Bama isn’t nearly as good as they were last year. That said neither is Tennessee

Ats right. The difference being that bama is closer than UT and bama is at home with last year's game still smarting. Tennessee had better beat A&M or 7-5 is a real possibility.

Joe - 270 yards, 4 TDs - 3 passing 1 Rushing
🐿️ 2 TDs 130 yards receiving
Sampson 2 TDs 1 rushing 1 recieving. 120 yards total

41-27 V O L S
I am a pretty hopeful guy. But I don't see any objective reason at the moment to believe Milton is a better QB than Milroe. Bama has played a stronger schedule than UT. They've played better defenses. Milroe is currently 3rd in the SEC in QBR. Milton is 10th. By any objective measure, Milroe is playing better right now.

Good Points; but I'd put my commission check on it. Bama would trade Milroe for Milton

I've watched every SEC game so far

Milroe is getting better. Each game can see it. Still makes mistakes, as most do, but he is definitely improving.

Same with Beck at Georgia. Getting a lot more comfortable.

Bama and UGA will play for SEC in Atlanta IMO

Can and will Joe throw accurately when chased out of the pocket?

Joe Milton has the opportunity to cement his legend as a Tennessee Volunteer this week. This game is on him. Time for "Super Joe" to show up. You don't get that many opportunities in life to show the world. Hope Joe becomes who we thought he was back in August.

Because Milton refuses to run they will probably drop multiple guys into coverage. Our WR'S are suspect so if our running game doesn't have a great day it will be extremely difficult to move the ball. Hopefully someone has a breakout game at wideout
Hopefully his injury is better and he can run enough to keep the A&M defense honest.
