Come on……..of corse Tennessee can.

If A&M was 1 play away from doing it, and if Texas should have…….then no doubt whatsoever Tennessee “can.”

I don’t even think it matters what Bama does…..not this year (don’t need Bama to play bad).

It simply matters what Tennessee does.

Loving the response...... I happen to live in this crappy state and all my in-laws are bama fans and just want to shut them up but the men decide it on the field.

I don't smoke but buy myself a cigar for the win on Saturday!

Absolutely. Everyone knows it. Will we? We’re gonna find out. I’ll be over the moon if we get it done, but if not, a 10-2 season is a given imo. 10-2 is realistically the floor at this point. Someone slap me. I’m dreaming. We’ve waited a long time for this Volnation. GBO! 🍊

I don’t see us winning. Young is going to play. I just see him carving our secondary up. Bamas defense is way better than anyone we have faced. I think we can keep it competitive into the 4th though.

It's possible but not probable.

By far the toughest test we've faced. Will take a monumental effort and the ball will have to bounce our way.

Here’s the reality - let’s look at LSU - you take away the initial fumbled kick off and then punt return, and that game is different. LSU not instantly in the home executes a very different game plan focused on running the ball and executing long time consuming drives.
But those two plays happened, and we will never know if LSU would have been able to wear our defense down or not.
Regardless, UT still wins that game.
Now, about the four fumbles we had. What if LSU gets on a few of em? Do will still win? Yes, I believe so- but game may have come down to wire (not even mentioning the PI calls that didn’t happen—-we got away with two obvious one on key downs- and to be fair, LSU got away with a couple of blatant ones as well).
Not being negative, just pointing out that IF we have the breaks go the other way in the six above plays, well, who knows what would have happened - I suspect UT wins that game no matter what.
Now — with Bama? We lay the ball on the ground four times and we will be burnt toast.
That typed, I think we “can” win, and I think we “can” get our butts kicked in.
There isn’t one player on our roster that would be picked for his position - I mean as starter - over the same position player at Alabama.
Said differently, none of our starting 22 would start over their counterpart at Bama. Not our stud d end, not Hooker, not even Tillman (although he might well be their 3 receiver) none of em. So, with that talent gap, UT better not lay the potato on the ground four times or we get blown out.

With that……Says here : feels a whole lot like 1982- VOLS ARE GONNA WIN THIS BITCH.

This feels nothing like 82 (to me).

This Bama team is certainly better than 8-4 and this Tennessee team is WAY better than 6-5-1………and there is WAY more on the line.

I get your talking about the 12 year streak, however to me this doesn’t seem remotely similar.

If you read some of the bama forum comments many don’t care if they lose to us. Overall it won’t make a difference. But. If they lose probability of another lose potentially goes up. They know they may have met their match this Saturday

We might win. I’m not going to guarantee anything, but we are good enough to play with them. I don’t care if Young plays or not. If he plays, he plays… He’s not intimidating without Williams and the other WR who is gone this year.

It really depends on who is the QB for Bama. If it’s Milroe, we’ve got a really good shot. If thats the situation, Bama would be better at every position group outside of QB and possibly wr, and there’s a chance Bama might not be able to keep up. But even then, I saw Bama turn on a dime against Arkansas and shift to a power running team and they ran it down Arkansas throat. Still, if it’s Milroe, it gives us a much better odds. If it’s Young, and he’s healthy…yeeesh. He will be the best passing QB we’ve played so far and by a significant margin. We allowed a guy that just put up 66 yards passing against Mizzou to hang 450 on us. Then Daniels goes for 300. My fear is Young might throw for 500+. We can score, but can we score that much? Idk. Whichever QB we face, this game will be closer than it has been since 2015. And maybe, just maybe, we pull it off and end the streak. Go Vols!
