Bamers complaining about low hit on Tua

Can't aim high, not sure who it was that hit him but if Tua was bigger it makes sense to go low then try and tackle at the center of gravity.

It makes sense to go at the waist. Going as low as he he did leaves one open to get sidestepped. Again, the hit was fine. I question the intent, but I can't read the guy's mind, so it's a question that will never be answered. I'm glad it didn't wind up worse.

Is that a football play?

NCAA RULE Article 9B: "When an offensive player is in a passing posture with one or both feet on the ground, no defensive player rushing unabated shall hit him forcibly at the knee "area" or below. The defensive player also may not initiate a roll or lunge and forcibly hit this opponent in the knee area or below. [Exceptions: (1) It is not a foul if the offensive player is a runner not in a passing posture, either inside or outside the tackle box. (2) It is not a foul if the defender grabs or wraps this opponent in an attempt to make a conventional tackle without making forcible contact with the head or shoulder. (3) It is not a foul if the defender is not rushing unabated or is blocked or fouled into this opponent.] "

Therefore it most certainly was a penalty and targeting.
A Bama fan quoting a rulebook; what a time to be alive.

I like Tua's QB prowess and wish no ill upon him.

Who are the bammers gonna blame if Tua goes down hard this weekend? Then loses to Auburn...then Georgia and then misses out on the CFP?

Eh, I see your point, but the injury isn't going to get worse from just playing on it. And if he gets hit against The Citadel, something is wrong. Tua simply needs to be done early.
well he is playing vs Citadel -- gotta pad those Heisman numbers against a patsy

He needs to get back into synch with his receivers against a weak defense. Timing has been off the past two games. Bama needs to get up by three quick score, then Mac Jones needs to take it the rest of the way.

Might not have been that play but I saw one play during highlights that a reasonable argument could be made that miss st player was gunning for tua’s knees.

He's listed as day-to-day. Barring something unexpected, he won't play against The Citadel, but Auburn is more likely. Either way, gotta get Mac Jones a little time with the full offense at his disposal. He hasn't had that opportunity yet.

I wouldn't say he was in a passing posture at any point during that GIF.

How many complained when a Bama player repeatedly punched a Missouri lineman and the SEC did nothing?

Rule 1: Not in passing posture, tucked the ball, hit on thigh. No problem.

QB looking at line of scrimmage not downfield....Position of ball.....

You have a great QB, great team, should run the table, but apparently not very confident you will because of this? Whine some more about this why don't you.

Jarrett Guarantano leveled in first series.....no call.... maybe you should complain to the SEC. Let us know how it goes.

Didn't he enter the game with a knee problem.....Stop your whining.....Geez.

Difference between Winners and Losers....Losers have to blame somebody for their problems. Winners just push through it and don't complain or blame others.

Looks like you are bailing out with an excuse before the Season plays out....Some fan. Excuses. never ceases to amaze me...

What was there to complain about? Saban suspended Davis for longer than he otherwise would have sat out. The bigger issue is that neither the SEC, nor Mizzou, did a single thing about the O-lineman that clubbed Mack Wilson in the head, which prompted Davis' response.

Or Missouri's #47 that was twisting Henry Rugg's leg off earlier in the game.
