What the good folks of Alabama apparently do not take into consideration is that a lot of U.S. citizens do not care about CBB's birthday, but do REALLY care about the real reason to remember Sept. 11. The University and their fans could have done the same thing yesterday or tomorrow...but chose to commemorate TODAY...a day when the people of the U.S. chose to remember the REAL heroes. :hi:

It's the guy's 100th birthday. Why's it a problem to acknowledge it?

Never understood the point of acknowledging or celebrating a dead person's birthday. My wife says every year my grandparents would be so and so years old if they were still living, but they're not. G. Washington would be 250 today if he was alive.
