Bammers would be +24 vs worst NFL team on a neutral field

Honestly, I think they'd get beat by every NFL team. Just so much more physical at that level. Can't coach experience. I don't think any college team could actually defeat an NFL team. Jmo.

He can write whatever he wants though. It's not like there's a way to put it to the test.

Obviously they'd lose. This is just the first time I've ever seen an actual Vegas-given theoretical point spread. It's lower than I would have expected.

If the Jaguars can put a scare into the Green Bay Packers then I am not even sure Alabama could score a point. They would steamroll them or any college team.

This is the dumbest argument ever. How many players at Alabama could start on an NFL team right now? Maybe 2 or 3 at most. The talent and experience disparity would be huge. Kinda like Alabama playing an FCS school.

On the radio today, Hill and Schareth (sp?) said Spurrier said that Alabama could beat the NFL bottomfeeder and Mark Schlareth said the only way that would happen is if Spurrier went back to the NFL and Bama played his team lol

Steve Spurrier says Alabama Crimson Tide can beat NFL teams - ESPN

smh

Pretty sad that Pete Carroll is the voice of reason.

"I was confronted with that at times [at USC] and the falsehood is to think that that could ever take place," Carroll said Wednesday at his weekly news conference. "It ain't even close. Alabama's got a great team and Nick is a fantastic coach, but when you match up the interior lines against regular NFL teams on either side of the ball, it wouldn't even be close."

It's fun talking about this with people. A guy I work with is 100% sure Bama would have a .500 record if they played a full nfl schedule.

No offense but do you work at McDonalds? You'd have to be mentally challenged to believe Alabama would be .500. As someone already mentioned, they'd lose to the 0-16 Lions. I don't want to live in a world where someone as dumb as that guy has a meaningful job lol

A school of 21 year olds is not beating 53 pro players. Alabama is really good but not good enough to beat professionals. They lost to LSU last year or have people already forgotten? Miami's star studded team lost to Ohio State. USC's star studded team lost to Texas. These are teams full of future pros that get beat by a single player such as Vince Young or Cam Newton. Every single NFL team would dismantle Alabama.

A big no to the McDonald's part.

I assumed you didn't. Wasn't trying to attack you or anything but that guy just sounds really, really dumb.

He's actually very smart when it comes to football. He thinks Bama is so well coached that they could win.

Agree to disagree and believing Alabama would be .500 means you have no credibility.

How many starters on Alabama would start in the NFL as a rookie? How many will make a team in the NFL?

The answer... a few would start as rookies and maybe half the starters will make an NFL roster. They'd be going up against an NFL roster and half the starters won't even be in the NFL. Look at Nick Saban's record in the NFL... he was average with a pro roster. He sure as heck isn't going .500 with a bunch of kids.

I agree. He, for some reason, thinks the gap between college and the pros isn't that big.
