For my first thread, I wanted to make it count... with an official Wish List of sorts for our recruiting class of 2010:

DT John Brown (JC)
DT Pat Harris (JC)
DT Risean Broussard
DT Evan Hailes
DT Cassius Marsh

A lot of people said Nuke wouldn't leave Florida and he did so I think we're definitely in the running for Luc. Good overall list though. :good!:

Good first thread! Only change I would make is that Lamison would be in the class of 2009! So you could add another QB like Rettig, or add another somewhere else!

*NOTE: It's easy to just name the highest ranked person for each position and use that as our wish list, but I was trying to mix being hopeful with using some common sense. I think Henderson is a long shot, but hey it's possible. Also, Jeff Luc would be #2 on my overall wish list but I just don't see him leaving Florida.

only one defensive back?

i would probably go with one less DT, and maybe just take a walk on for kicker

just my thoughts

Good point, wasn't thinking about that... kind of a weird situation with him possibly coming in so late, but you're right. I think Hendrix is ND bound and I'm not really sold on Rettig. Cam Newton is interesting but I'm just not sure how I feel about a transfer from Florida via JC, especially a dual-threat.

Thanks though.

Well, my reasoning for only 1 DB is that we don't have many high profile guys on our list that (in my opinion) we have a better than average shot at. Also, we've signed really heavy on DBs the past 2 classes, especially last year.

As for kicker, Palardy is worth a scholly. I'd rather use a scholly on him than take another DB and be 4 deep at every postion in the secondary.:dunno:

O.C. Brown likely won't ever receive an offer.

If he doesn't get one, Zak Tait surely doesn't deserve one.

Wasn't O.C. Brown the guy they had a youtube video of as the "fastest 300 lb high schooler" or some such nonsense? It has clips of him pulling from the guard spot and outrunning his running back....

Yes, he came to camp and didn't impress, though.

I took him off... I'll leave it at 27.

My only change would be adding 1 more DB or another WR with speed like Robert Woods.

I might also give James Carmon - the JC DL/OL mammoth - a scholly.

I've heard that we offered but lately backed off. He'll probably end up at Miss State.

And Fulmer won a National Championship, so grats on the upgrade :good!:

Ten years ago, so what. I loved Fulmer, and Kiffin is in his honeymoon period, so we will see how he does. But seriously, how the He!! are you going to dis on our coach's NFL record when your coach did worse? Come on, think of something more clever than that.

Ok you're right. Let's scratch NFL records.

What was your coaches college record as head coach?

kiffin's record at UT vs. Petrino's record at Ark is the only thing that matters.

im betting kiffin will end up with a few more wins than petrino

He hasn't lost a game yet buddy! :dance2:

:lolabove: touche

I really think Kiffin might do UT some good, i ( and most of the SEC i assume) dont really like him running his mouth. I know i iknow "its his recruiting gimmick", i understand that, but he should wait to taunt till after he wins the game.

I think you guys will have some growing pains this year, but overall will probablly get better recruits and be headed in the right direction.
