I really think Kiffin might do UT some good, i ( and most of the SEC i assume) dont really like him running his mouth. I know i iknow "its his recruiting gimmick", i understand that, but he should wait to taunt till after he wins the game.

I think you guys will have some growing pains this year, but overall will probablly get better recruits and be headed in the right direction.

Oh I completely agree. The thing that most of us UT fans have conceded to is that Kiffin will get a pass this early in the game because of the state of emergency we were in. You have to understand, TN was not in the national media. Kiffin's agenda was to recruit the very best, just as his strategy has always been. Kiffin had been used to having lots of media attention at his other coaching gigs. USC is USC and I actually am a Raiders fan and trust me, that fan base is nuts. They also get a lot of attention because of Al Davis. So when he came to UT, he had to do something to get us in the national spotlight. There was no way he could have pulled the recruiting class he did in such short period of time without pulling some of the gimmicks he did. So as of right now, we accept his idiotic moves because we know he is doing it to better TN football, not to "drag the program through the mud" as much of the media likes to argue.

I'm glad my first thread turned into an argument between an Arkansas fan (I mean seriously, do they even still have a football team?) and some of my Vol counterparts....

you wouldn't catch me dead on another school's message board websites, let alone as a "Senior Member" with over 200 posts. I feel like I'm back over at GVx all of a sudden. That's the whole reason I started an account here; to get away from the retard Florida and Bama fans that always post for some reason. And now, here's someone from Arkansas which hasn't done anything athletically to speak of since Nolan Richardson's b-ball teams in the early 90's.

By the way, are you seriously using Bobby Petrino's record at Louisville to back up your points????? I mean, their big games were South Florida and Rutgers for God's sake.

Well it's not like Petrino was beating those teams with top 10 recruiting classes, or top 40 for that matter. Competing teams has equal talent (recruiting wise), but Petrino was blowing out most of the competition. Shoot, Lousiville was up on Kentucky 27-0 with 10 minutes left in the second quarter a few years ago.

I am just giving you guys a hard time. We all know Tennessee is one of the premier teams in the SEC and it is just a matter of time till things get turned around.
