Bang Shootie conversation

The two 12-gauge side-by-sides which I inherited had been neglected for a long time. The guns which had belonged to my father and grandfather were kept in storage for decades by a relative who did nothing to protect and preserve them. My grandfather's gun is a Damascus barrel, now so pitted and rusted I will not even attempt to shoot it. The gunsmith opined that it was good for lodge decoration and little else. [sigh] My father's gun is a Hunter Arms Co. "meat gun" - nothing fancy, but a fine shooting bird gun. I've hunted quail and dove with this gun.

Hope everyone is getting by ok.... I've been hiding out at the farm for the last 3 weeks and have not posted much. Logged in and working remote 10 to 12 hours a day. Finally took a some time to blow off steam this past weekend. I loaded up my old farm truck with my rifles, shotguns and sidearms and drove over to the shooting range on the farm and burnt some ammo. Did a world of good to destress a bit. Went back to the farm house and broke the seal on a bottle of George Dickel (blue label) that one of friends gave me for Christmas. Sat around a bon fire most of the night with the wife and our big-headed GSDs, just chilling to some Hank Jr, Waylon and Haggard.

Be safe,

CH_V

Several of my friends that carry went with the shield. One totes a sub-compact in his pocket. I think it's a ruger

If I were carrying, and I’m not saying that I am, but if I were right now it would be the Ruger 380. Which is ok but lacks the dropping power I’d like to have.
All hypothetical of course
