So, the source is somewhat incentivized by stirring up FUD*, plus all sorts of things can be proposed, either with the full expectation that at least part will be negotiated away or with a reluctant realization that at least part will have to be negotiated away.

We’re not living in an absolute monarchy here. The behind-the-scenes sausage-making that is a reality in representative legislatures means that no one gets everything they want or everything they dread.

*Fear, uncertainty, and doubt. All organizations, whether NRA, American Red Cross, PTA, or the Society for Left-Handed Embroiderers employ FUD as a means of motivating current members and recruiting new members.

And it isn't fear has gotten the better of me it's what I heard him say from his own mouth ban on assault rifles and large magazines and Taxing every registered gun and so on.

Yo Prez, can you not go into an Academy? I looked at their website and you can't order any ammo online for some reason. I am going down to Hoptown tomorrow and might just run down to Clarksville and see if they have any in stock. If I can get what I want for the advertised 0.55 per round I am going to get some more.

You’re not going to have much luck ordering ammo online at the big box stores right now. Actually I haven’t been able to get anything at Academy online since I started trying early last summer but have had decent success at Cabela’s. That was up until just before Christmas and now you’re almost certainly not going to get anything there online either. I have had a lot of luck going to Academy on their delivery days you just have to be there when they open.

I called Academy and when there truck comes in they sale out in 30 minutes I guess because they don't raise the price for demand.
