We was getting called for pass interference and they wasn't.

We got a first down and they said we didn't on 3rd down and 4th down.
Are running back ran out of bounds right at the marker and we was short they did
the same thing and it was a first down.

They held and had a hand to face that should have brought back the long TD after half. Then on the kickoff after the TD that shouldn't have been they call the fantom waving hands that was below Dee's waist and put us at the 4 with momentum already switched.

They killed are drives and kept there drives going with the weakest holding call on a receiver I had ever seen compared to how they was holding Castles and interfering with Squirrel.

The refs affected the game and they should never do that.
I don’t disagree with any of that. Except our RB did run out of bounds early. Still, like I said, good teams find a way to win. We effectively didn’t play 1 play of football the 2nd half. We quit. That wasn’t on the refs.

There running back ran out of bounds. And Alabama slowed the game down in the second half it seemed we didn't have many plays. But there was interference that wasn't called that could of helped us score after we was down 14. We didn't play as well the second half but play killing calls don't help.

It's concerning our OC and HC can't seem to.make adjustments after halftime to counter the adjustments the opponent makes at half on defense.

I get it, you need to play your game plan. But when your opponent figures out your plan you need to.adjust in game.

That said, I wonder if the lack of doing this is because of the lack.of "on field football IQ" at the leadership position, i.e. QB?

We’re on the same page. I’m just sick of hearing about officiating. UT had a complete collapse last night after half. Officiating is the 1 area that we can’t control in that collapse. The rest we can.
It’s common denominator though. If your defense has a team 3rd and long then gets a stop but the refs makes a questionable call those plays matter. If they don’t call an obvious penalty it matters too. Saying UT got out anything would be giving too much credit to Bama. Their QB has proven that he can’t throw the ball. Their running game isn’t as good as UT’s and their defense is comparable at best. So again this game came down to one sided officiating. It didn’t matter in the first half bc the best team showed up to play.

This game came down to who came to play in the second half and who made adjustments. Not refs. Milroe throws the ball better than Milton. And our run game was stopped by the technique that DL Bama plays. They don’t push upfield like A&M did. They hold the line and force plays outside. This forces the QB to beat you. Our Qb can’t do that. Bama played in the 2nd half. We didn’t. It’s that simple. Bama hit us in the mouth out of the half and we folded. Coaches and players. Y

Saban's secondaries have always been handsy..He teaches it that way. Mugging should be called though..
PI is only called about 10% of occurrences.
I have seen more no calls this season than ever.
Our guys get called more than most, but it is a sound move for DBs.

Hell, holding is becoming the same way.

Funny bc they hit UT in the mouth in the first half too yet UT jumped out to a lead. Again you are giving too much credit to Bama and I don’t understand it. They played dirty bc they can. Like I said if the refs made bad calls on both sides I wouldn’t have a case. But it was one sided and was clearly during crucial times of the second half to let them back in. I can respect getting beat straight up. But other than the scoop and score what huge mistakes did UT really make? It was 8 penalties to 1 (!) and at least half of them were drive killers and drive extenders that led to points.

C’mon man you know the gap between UT and Bama isn’t that much or why even care? We could’ve completely switched coaching staffs and players and the results would’ve been the same. Again Bama isn’t that much better than UT and at best at a mutual site they are equal. But like I’ve been saying I think this is a good team they just aren’t going to win as many games as last year. And they showed it yesterday for at least 1 half. Unfortunately the ball didn’t swing towards UT and calls didn’t go their way this year against Bama. It’s that simple. Just have to put the chip on the shoulder and move on. Plenty of football left to play.

The biggest thing here that needs to be addressed is UT’s red zone offense. You are not going to beat Bama kicking field goals. You put a couple of tuddies in place of 2 FGs, remove a penalty or 2 and it’s a different ballgame. Not saying they would’ve won but it would’ve been closer.

Mostly false. Bama is better than us. They started very slow. There is a huge talent gap. They are much more talented, more talented 2-3 deep at each position. That’s just recruiting and being realistic. We coukd beat bama playing our best ball. We did it the first half despite some shotty calls. We quit in the second half. Not sure how you argue against that.

I thought Milton"s passes were better thrown than usual. Last year and some of this year he usually threw passes too hard. Last night he seemed to have more control, and threw what was a more catchable pass.

Best team won. They were 9-10 pt favorites.
