Banshee

Damn, even Sugar left town? Banshee going to boring as hell from now on!

Great show that went out with a pretty good final season and a very good finale. Nothing this year was as high of a high as some other seasons but, except for Breaking Bad, I can't think of too many shows that went out at/near their peak.

Long story short, gonna miss the hell outta this show.

And I will always love Eliza to a very irrational level.

Just finished it. One of the best all around finales I can remember. I wasn't hopeful they could wrap it all up but they sure as hell did. The episode having the constant little flashbacks for all the interactions, Revealing that Eliza's character knew all along about Hood, not having the storybook ending for Hood and Carry, and having the badass Tony Montana style for Proctor to go down was absolutely brilliant.

The last scene after the credits showing Sugar leaving may have got me in the feels just a little, and Sugar's little speech about actual atonement was brilliant as a whole. It didn't end on the highest of notes, but it certainly ended far above the average for most tv shows these days.

Gonna miss that sweet theme music though.

I wish there were a couple more episodes to really delve into Burton's character and why he killed Rebecca, along with some more aryan brotherhood politics and power struggle. Regarding Burton/Bowman, I guessed it was him(I'm sure along with many others) before and throughout the satanist saga. Was a pretty obvious red herring. I just think the little flashback to the actual event didn't do justice to the importance of the scene. Proctor almost seemed like a background character this season, and going out like Tony Montana felt a bit contrived. The Kurt/Calvin storyline felt similarly rushed IMO.

But all that being said, it wasn't a bad series finale. Banshee went out as a show that was still better than 99% of TV despite it losing steam in its last years, like most shows.

I have to disagree on the Burton aspect. I didn't have him pegged as Rebecca's killer. It felt like a last minute change and they got lucky with the fact that Burton had shown some resentment towards Rebecca in a few episodes in the past. I felt like his loyalty to Kai would not have allowed him to cross that line.

I was leaning Clay too, if a chick finds out you are a Eunuch she has to die.

I really liked this series and the way the ended it. I watched the last two in a row as I couldn't find time. My favorite part was how Proctor went out as a true gangster, with the tommy gun. Cinemax has some great series coming up and I hope they are this strong

Well...this guy was wrong again. They wrapped everything up nicely, without rushing anything, and made up for a meh season. Probably my second favorite series finale behind The Shield. I like that he finally told Brock. I liked the Brock and Bunker scene, good way to end those 2. Loved that him and skeletor didn't ride off into the sunset together. Perfect way for Job to leave. The end scene with Hood and Sugar was fantastic. Damn I'm going to miss this show.

Only thing I didn't like was how Clay went out.

We are pretty tough on shows but I agree with all this. Not the best season by any means but they ended it banshee style. Bravo

Oh, and a big thanks to Jerry for pointing me to this series. I would prob never have known if he hadn't posted it everywhere!

Lol no problem, a couple of us should probably get a check for yelling about it so much on here. A lot of people probably missed out on a great show because it was on Cinemax.

I thought his motivation for doing it was actually pretty good. Similar to Daredevil when the Kingpin's people tried to poison his girl. Proctor was "weakening" himself because of Rebecca in Burton's eyes so she had to go.

I do wish we had more backtory on Burton as a whole. Him being found in that torture dungeon by Proctor was a great start, but I wish we'd found out exactly how he became such a badass he could easily take down 15 men and fight hand to hand with the main characters who are freaking ex special forces and world class criminals.

MEGA BUMP….

Rewatching the series. Still really good. All the characters are great and action scenes are top notch.
