But when the fate of Iran's nuclear program comes down to a game of horse between Obama and Ahmadinejad, we can rest easy knowing everything is going to be OK.
very good point. Maybe we could just go the Spies Like Us route and play chess. I'm sure that TennNC just forgot to list Grand Master during his obamagasm (apologies to MG1968) this morning.

The Obama camp needs a photo op of a friendly game between Obama and Garry Kasparov.

Reading this as a German with broken English who is trying to retell a joke is hilarious.

Or as Borat.

That's nothing. I don't know about YOU GUYS, but I TOTALLY BELIEVE what I just heard.

IT WAS STAGED - THE WHOLE EVENT! Check it - Obama wasn't even IN EUROPE THAT DAY! Who knows where he was - probably in TEHRAN plotting how to destroy the world with Ahmedinejad. Anyway, he recorded the speech from a studio IN HOLLYWOOD (with all his crazy liberal commie friends) and combined it with footage from "Triumph of the Will." I promise I'm NOT making this UP!!!!

do you really think the media is above overstating this? The same people actually polling Europeans asking which candidate they support in OUR election?

It wasn't 20K, but I'll bet it wasn't 200K either.

I don't think they're above overstating it, but not by 10x the actual amount. And regardless of the media's obsession with Obama, I don't think they'd all purposely join together and say, "Yeah, let's jack this number up - by 180,000 people. And let's keep it a secret amongst us kids." Perhaps they went with the number the Obama campaign gave them, assessed the crowd (without any scientific method of counting people in an open venue like that) and said, "yeah, that feels about right." And who cares if it was 150,000 or 200,000? Point is, it was a whole lot.

I wonder how many of that "whole lot" were there primarily for the free concert and cheap beer?

it's still inexcusable for Obama to skip out on his visit to Landstuhl.

What I find interesting is with all the attention Obama is getting he has yet to crack 50%. I think it will be a close race. Lets hope it doesn't come down to Florida again.

Which would be approximately 200x the number of people McCain spoke to at Schmidt's Restaurant in Columbus that same day.

McCain's voters are at work. Not sitting in their nests with their mouths open waiting to be fed from the teet of the next coming.
