I'm not asking everybody or anybody to change their feelings towards horses. All I'm asking is if you could care less about Barbaro or other horses dieing, please stay out of this thread. Some people, myself included, are very sad about any animal dieing, including Barbaro. It's common courtesy.

No, they aren't. Being a jockey is an extremely physically challenging thing to do. I know driving in NASCAR is more challenging than the general public thinks, but riding a horse is far more challenging.

I love animals. I have 2 cats and 2 dogs, but I would never eat them, either. I'll be sad when they die. What does eating horses and cars have anything to do with becoming attached?

Again, I'm asking nicely, if you have nothing to say about Barbaro being euthanized, can you stop busting the chops of those who care?

I don't even touch the NASCAR forum because I don't care, and I don't want to crap all over the discussion.

Would you consider a cock in a cock fight an athlete because it competes? Humans own them, bet on them and make money off them just as horses. Do you consider a dog at the tracks an athlete, same concept as horse racing.

I never said I didn't love horses or animals. I've never been in the Nascar forum. I never said I didn't care about Barbaro.:thumbsup:

VolinA- the reason all this blew up is because you made a dumb comment to a legitimate question I asked. I even said I'm NOT trying to be a jerk, I wanted to know why people cared so much. I came on this thread about a horse to ask what the obsession was about a horse.
