Now that it is concluded I am troubled by two things. One, he gave mealy mouthed answers on the report and releasing it. Two, he will not abide by the ethics advisors on the paper he wrote.

Red flags.

Cannot be allowed to take office.

I also point to his previous three unanimous appointment votes as proof you are FOS as usual.

I said earlier, before it began, that if he was going to allow us to see the report and not interfere, fine with me.

But he ill not commit to that. And when he puts out a memo and seems to defend Trump's absolute power, its just too much. Disqualified.

And your statement is incorrect. I saw his first answer on the topic live on TV. He absolutely wants to make the report as transparent as possible. You idiots are trying to pin him down on “what if’s” that are impossible for him to answer with the information he has at the moment and he thus won’t give you the sound bite you want. And he’s right.

Barr is being hailed as the most qualified appointment to the position in decades and has garnered public support from some rational Dims even.

Personally, I take it as a sign of weakness when you don't defend what he's saying on the merits and instead just beat your chest about how this is going to get steamrolled through, merit or no.

*yawn* completely ignored the statement on him being hailed as the most qualified candidate to the position in decades and recieving accolades from both sides of the aisle thus resulting in him skating thru the appointment process.

Sometimes an obviously qualified candidate is just that... regardless of who appointed him.

I said I was okay with him if we and Congress get to see the report. He has made some comments, including in opening remarks, about that, but when pressed, he kept himming and hawing about it, refusing to commit to it.

He said he would follow procedure and the law in regards to releasing the report to congress and the public. What else is he supposed to do, violate one or both?

By that standard you have to agree that Mueller was the perfect man to lead the investigation and has done a bang up job of doing so.
