Greg Maddux or Tom Glavine?
From 1992 to 1999, Maddux put together a run during which he was as great as any pitcher in modern history. Clemens may be the greater pitcher, total-career-value-wise, but Maddux's peak was better. Glavine is a great pitcher, a Hall of Famer, but he wasn't even close to what Maddux was.
That said, of the three of them, John Smoltz is the man you want with the ball in his hand when someone is pointing a gun at your mom's head.
