Yeah the name of the recruit was given. El V just asked not to leak the name for the recruit's sake since he is still committed else where for the time being.

Volz, this is not directed specifically toward you, but many others as well, so take no offense by it.

The El V thread was going along swimmingly.....until posters started throwing out the names of particular recruits. There's a little thing called, "Google" which tends to notice things like, "words"....especially if someone has set up a Google email alert to trigger them when it does find a particular word.

Allegedly, both other schools and the fans of those schools routinely troll other team's message boards, specifically looking for tidbits of hard-to-find or yet-to-be-confirmed information.

Perhaps they would find it incredibly interesting to see the names of recruits who, ostensibly, had no reason to suddenly jump up on a Tennessee message board, seemingly out of nowhere (almost like they were thought to be a lock to other schools(s), especially their own....or someone else in their conference).

Suppose they ran across something like this, and it happened to make it back to the recruit who wished to keep his commitment silent. Maybe these players wouldn't appreciate being "outed" like that (which they hoped to avoid, as this was the purpose of their being silent commits to begin with) - and out of either anger or as a result of pressure, they rescind their silent commit to Tennessee.

Would anyone be happy to see that happen, however remote of a possibiliy which some obviously believe it to be? Well, would you like to be the one who caused it to occur? Then re-read the beginning of this post again. Slowly.
