Not sure what you’re looking for, but the wording for the poll might create some issues…if I’m bored or someone posts a clip from him I’ll check out what he’s saying every now and again, however I don’t have much value in what he’s saying about the hoops program.

Maybe drop the listen part and just a blanket, do you value/trust Basilio’s takes on the hoops program? Might provide a more accurate and clear answer, JMO.

Basiliio brings a grassroots element of entertainment to Tennessee sports coverage that is unique and enjoyable to listen to at times. I definitely find Basilio funnier than Swain, but Swain clearly knows more about football.

Do they try to pretend they are top analysts? No, it’s a talk show. But they do bring those guys on often. Still, I was happy to find the Sports Animal when I was looking for more content with deeper analysis.

I personally would like to hear more of that from Basilio’s product and see them expand their show to include more segments with each personality running their own show for an hour. Meaning Matt would run it for an hour with different people. Beano as well. And then having their typical longer show as the main event, where they perhaps bring up things talked about on the other segments

They may all do well enough just as it is and not want to change things. Sometimes, there are reasons things are the way they are. So without knowing enough details… just some thoughts.

Yeah, right or wrong, my thought process was to link listening and valuing with the AND figuring you do or don’t listen for a reason and if you do listen do or don’t value it.

Did not just want a referendum of just those that do listen. That would be a bit skewed.

Obviously by my profile picture on here you can tell I’m a Basilio fan. Mainly the 5th Quarter fan reaction. There are times when I have to turn it off just like any program. I do the same with Rogan. But I’ll take Basilio over state ran radio any day of the week.

I love some of the regulars on there. And the way all of his listeners rallied together when Roger passed away about a year or so ago, was just an awesome thing to experience.

Yes I value the show, however to each their own ya know. GO VOLS!

I look at it the same as these forum's on VN, it's entertainment yet I don't take everything as truth. I can choose to turn the radio or listen, the same as I can "unfollow" to ignore people. It all works the same and to each their own.
He does love his Vols and for that I appreciate!

Go Vols!!

In my opinion, the reason why he’s so polarizing is that he doesn’t sugarcoat anything. That’s difficult to digest for the crowd who just wants to watch the games and believe we have the best coaches, staff, AD, players, etc. Some of the things he shares challenges their point of view and they don’t like it.

Sometimes his speculation materializes and sometimes it doesn’t. I appreciate hearing the rumors just to know what’s going on even if the situation changes.
