Lunardi: Strictly from the standpoint of the NCAA tournament, the game is more important for Gonzaga. A win would give the Zags a sweep of Kansas, West Virginia and Baylor, with only Iowa (Dec. 19) remaining as a likely top-50 opponent. In other words, Gonzaga can nearly lock up a No. 1 seed with a victory.

Gasaway: Does the game matter more to the Bulldogs or the Bears? Can I say, well, "Yes"? Look at the similarities. Both institutions had, let us say, spotty records of basketball success until both improved dramatically at a similar historical moment two decades ago. (Gonzaga had a head start of a few years.) Both have had the same head coach for the past 15-plus years. Both were ranked No. 1 in the nation for at least four weeks last year. Both would have been No. 1 seeds if there had been a 2020 NCAA tournament. And together they are now, on paper, the two best teams in the country by a mile. We will still be talking about this game when both teams reach the 2021 Final Four.

Down two starters, Few uses COVID issues as reason to cancel the game as both teams are warming up lol (although the two starters don't have COVID problems). The Zags have been playing with COVID issues all season but only now it has become a problem??? Gonzaga wants to reschedule the game for later in the season because their SOS will need it... ours won't. Replace them with Houston and keep the games rolling is the best option. Let Gonzaga pound sand.

Gonzaga has now cancelled on Tarleton State too. Hope Billy Gillespie brings his team to Waco on Wednesday.



Yes bring Billy Gillespie and Tarleton to Waco. Spoke to him at Lone Star Park this summer and he said the school's priority was to schedule heavy weights for a price and make the school some money.$$

SFA will replace the Nichols State game Wednesday night. This won't be the same SFA team that beat Duke at Cameron last season but you can bet they will be well coached.

Gillespie and Tarleton State will be in Waco next week. Tarleton gave aggy a good game in Collie Station earlier this season.

Coach K could easily shut the program down like Gonzaga did, to avoid major loses, and start it back up just in time for their weak azz conference play.

Baylor smoked SFA handedly 83-52...43 bench points for the Bears. The Lumberjacks still appear to be a better team than the Washington Huskies are though.

Chit gets real now with #13 Texas coming to Waco on Sunday to open BIG XII play against #2 Baylor.
