Thanks SJA.

You can tell Cuonzo is confident.

Yeah. I think if you look at some of the videos from the past years. He's been confident but he's definitely excited and willing to discus about his depth and what he's wanting to do with the team.

I think having Maymon back and healthy gives him that. You can tell how excited he is getting him back.

Wow, Trae gets blamed for everything. LOL

The perfect scape goat for every instance of our poor play during the time he was on campus.

We don't know for sure why Trae left / was forced to leave, and for that reason, I'm only looking at the verifiable impacts he had on the program. He won some for us and lost some for us, but we wouldn't have been nearly as good without him.

Hopefully we for the first time get a good start of season under Cuonzo. He can't chance another slow beginning.

If Trae could have been a 2 for his career here. I think there would be a very different tune about him. He was forced into the PG spot and had to learn on the fly. He controlled the ball for the most part and when he was out our offense stalled. I loved Trae as a player he was frustrating at times but who wasn't on this team at some point.

Yup.

This team will miss him. Barton's a good filler but doubt he's an upgrade.

My thoughts exactly. I think he will do just what Trae did and shoot better. He won't be forced to score and that's what we need with this years team. I thought Thompson would have been fine running at the point because we aren't relying on him to score 10+ and dish out 5+ assist a game.

I think we are going to miss Trae's driving ability, which is better than Barton's. He's better on D than Barton and more consistent shooter, but I prefer Trae.

Luckily with Hubbs coming in and Josh's improvement, Tennessee will be fine.

The combination of gaining a good and coachable player or two while losing 2 lazy and uncoachable players always makes a coach feel good.

Hall yes, Golden no.

When a 2nd year pg still has to look to the sideline for guidance and play calls to lead his team pretty much the whole game, he either hasn't been coached up or is uncoachable. Pgs should look at their coaches during a game when they hear their name called or a whistle. That's it.

Martin had no confidence in golden, he has pretty much said this.

Golden was fine till he injured his shoulder.

That might be true anyways, but Barton isn't better than Golden. No matter the confidence of Martin.

I'll take results over the idea that Golden wasn't a true PG. It's not like Antonio Barton was exactly leading his team 30 minutes a night looking like Mateen Cleaves.

I like Barton and he'll do well.

But this idea that everything was Golden's fault and UT got a better player in Barton blows my mind.

I'll wait to see Barton play before making that claim. My honest opinion is we are in the tournament last year with Barton instead of Golden, but jmo.
