@NCAABLEACHERS University of Houston regents meeting with Baylor regents to discuss Art Briles and to "give clarity of how much he didn't know"

@PhillipEricksen UH board chairman: Baylor regents said they would meet with us to discuss Briles and "give you clarity of how much he didn't know."

You sure they're so heavy into him?

It looks like Miles and Kiffin are the lead candidates that Houston's gunning for at the moment. As well as
Todd Orlando and Major Applewhite.

Alabama Crimson Tide OC Lane Kiffin, ex-LSU Tigers coach Les Miles are candidates for Houston Cougars' head coach position

Edit: it also looks almost like Baylor's been the ones calling Houston trying to get them to consider Art Briles

Fertitta said he has received numerous calls from those close to the Baylor program voicing support for former coach Art Briles.

Of course Baylor is voicing support to Houston for Briles. Wouldn"t you? If the Houston Regents are asking then sale the shiite out of him. Painting him in a glowing light is what any good business person would do...bad mouthing him only invites litigation (like we need more of that mess).

He is a braver man than I am then. If I were an up & coming coach like him I wouldn't be associated with Baylor at all.

Bill O'Brien turned a worse situation into a NFL gig.

Anyone got the contract terms of his deal? Baylor is private, right? So I'm assuming they don't have to disclose but somehow this stuff gets out there.

I heard he turned down Oregon for Baylor. Wondering if Baylor threw a much bigger pile of cash at his feet, or if he just thinks Baylor is the better job.

No idea about the money but it's a 7 year deal.

Some Baylor RB projected for 4-6 round pick not playing in the Bowl game to get ready for the draft -- after 6 straight losses I guess he figures they can lose again without him
