And as I post that, Cody starts to talk about him and Derrick going to F2 and keeping their alliance. House may be getting to him. I think he knows taking Vic guarantees him the win, but he's not quite ready to face the reality yet.

Being locked in the HoH room alone for 2+ hours must be insane.

LOL, I watched him counting jury house votes and I was like, "wow, he's finally putting it together." but then he started celebrating (on his own, so you know it's genuine) that he and Derrick were in the finals.

It was kind of sad. He's sitting there talking out loud, clearly seeing the numbers don't add up for him against Derrick, yet refusing to realize if he wants to win, it means taking Vic to the F2 if he can. So dense. Has Derrick just totally brainwashed this kid or what?

Honestly, even though I think Derrick deserves the win, if I'm Cody, I'm not taking Derrick to the F2. I think Derrick can afford to take either one of the other two and win, but Cody needs to take Victoria if he wants that $500,000.00. Taking Derrick is accepting second place.

Personally, just from a social game standpoint, I think Derrick is one of the best to play the game. Constantly reading people, constantly in game mode, always working an angle but trying not to stick out. I would have loved to have seen BB give him tougher competition to manipulate, but he worked with what he had and was brilliant with it.

He has played a brilliant social game. Like I've said in the past I would love to see him in an all-stars season just to see how he stacks up. In 2-3 years though, I think my recent winners are screwed in an all-stars scenario. In a perfect world they would have an all winners season, though i realize that would be impossible to pull off. Maybe put up a million dollar prize.

When you compete in an All-Star season you have to play the game totally different, because everyone in the house with you is familiar with your previous style of play.

Which would be a good indicator of how good he is. IMO

Derrick's social game is really good, but I also think that part of his success has been reliant on the house being dumb. It's not that hard to figure out who is the social champ of the house when there is one person who has never been on the block*.

*Is that accurate, or was he up once? Even still, point remains the same.

You are correct, zero times on the block. Which is remarkable since it was 4 sometimes 5 people nominated most of the year.
