Any of you guys had any experience with Branch Chained Amino Acids?

Looking at something (legally) to help build muscle mass other than Whey Protein Isolate

I'm currently using bcaas and have used them previously with good results. I notice them the most when it comes to recovery time. And I'm almost never sore when I'm taking them. Which can be a little frustrating cause I like to feel a little sore, makes me feel like I've really worked out hard lol.

Do you take them before and after your workout?

I usually drink half serving about 30 minutes before I go and the rest during my workout.

Do you use any type of pre-work mix like jack3d or C-4? I've been thinking about trying something along those lines but have yet to do so.

Edit: forgot to say that I do take some post workout as well if my protien doesn't have bcaas already in it.

About the only thing I do is eat a half a peanut butter sandwich and 12 oz protein shake. I use Dymatize ISO-100. I also drink 12 oz first thing in the morning and after a big workout. Only time I don't drink before and after is if I do strictly cardio

Best legal things to buy:

1. Creatine mono hydrate
2. Glutamine mono hydrate
3. Cellucor P6 extreme (test booster)

Can you do these things along with test?

Yeah. Normally I cycle the three.

I'll use creatine for about 8 weeks and durin the 6th week I'll start using the other two. I'll use them for about 8 weeks and on the 6th week start back on creatine.

Nothing has more proven research than creatine.

I use to drink a glass of creatine after a work out. I liked it and it made me feel better.

But my question is can I take those suppliments along with testosterone injections. ( plus a b-12 injection) I haven't been working out lately but it seems I may have some spare time soon.

I need a good regiment to do.

You can take BCAA's anytime during the day. IMO I would be careful taking creatine if you're worried about weight gain.

bodybuilding.com has some good regimens to go off of and some good articles as well if you haven't visited that site before.

Supplements are a waste of your money outside of the two I mentioned. I used to be big on supplements on deployments. After the Master Fitness Trainer course I'll no longer take any other than those 2.

Not to mention its a in monitored market. No FDA oversight. Some have even caused positive urinalysis results.

I take USP Labs BCAA as an intraworkout. Takes a few minutes to mix, but I've had success.

One of the easiest and dirt-cheap methods of increasing testosterone levels is by increasing your serum level of vitamin D3. "A study found that giving men with low testosterone and vitamin D deficiency 3,332 IUs of vitamin D daily for a year raised their free testosterone levels by 20 percent. They also lost 6 kg over the course of the study! Vitamin D is thought to inhibit aromatization of testosterone to estrogen.” See Get Lean By Taking Vitamin D - It Raises Testosterone & Elevates Metabolism | Poliquin Article. "Low vitamin D is [also] associated with greater fat mass in all ages, races, and both genders. For instance, a new study of overweight women found that those who took Vitamin D for 12 weeks lost 2.7 kg of fat compared to a placebo group that lost nothing. They didn’t even modify diet or weight train" (Take Vitamin D To Lose Fat & Gain Muscle | Poliquin Article).

Most people are seasonally, if not chronically, low or outright deficient in vitamin D3. "The best way to know your vitamin D status is to have your doctor measure the blood level of 25-hydroxyvitamin D (not to be confused with 1,25-dihydroxyvitamin D). The minimum level of 25-hydroxyvitamin D required for health is controversial, and can also vary by the method used for measurement. However, most authorities have argued that a rock-bottom minimum 25-hydroxyvitamin D level of 30 ng/mL, or 75 nmol/L, is the point at which phenomena associated with deficiency begin to be corrected” (Vitamin D). According to Michael Faloon, editor of Life Extension Magazine, "Some people waste their money by taking baseline 25-hydroxyvitamin D blood tests. If you are not taking at least 3,000 IU of vitamin D each day with a heavy meal, you are almost certainly going to have insufficient blood levels. It's better to start taking a total of 3,000 to 8000 IU of vitamin D each day with your heaviest meal and then have your blood tested for 25-hydroxyvitamin D in 30-60 days” ( Vitamin D Blood Levels - Life Extension).

Creatine and protein is all you need.

For building muscle mass, those are, indeed, the most essential. For optimal health, however, fish oil is an absolute must. Its benefits are too numerous to list, but cardiovascular benefits, especially for the purposes of significantly reducing triglycerides, are well documented. The anti-inflammatory properties of EPA and DHA, the omega-3s in fish oil, are particularly helpful for joint health, and DHA is utterly critical for proper brain development and neurological function. For a massive archive of research articles pertaining to the physiological benefits of fish oil supplementation, see Omega Research.

I will see how they do in a 6 week cycle. Hopefully they will work as advertised

Count, how many grams of leucine is in a serving of the supplement that you take or are the BCAAs just listed as a proprietary blend?
