Hey guys I just thought that I would put in my two cents on the BCS. I am a Hog fan so I am biased towards my Razorbacks. If the Hogs do go 12-1 and don't make the title game because USC goes 12-1 I am going to be very upset. Yes they do have the head to head win on us, but they haven't played as tough a schedule as Arkansas. Arkansas has played and beaten then ranked #22 Alabama, #2 Auburn, #13 Tennessee. We still have to play #9 LSU and #4 Florida. That will give us 5 ranked wins with 3 coming in the Top Ten. No other team in the nation could post that kinda schedule. And it ticks me off because we will be left out because of a loss to #3 USC the first game of the year when we were unranked. It amazes me how it took 9 wins for us to break into the Top Ten and how USC lost 2 weeks ago to an unranked Oregon State and once again they are #3. Sounds like a little bias in the rankings to me. Well that is my rant for the week. WPS!

well a win over Cal, and most importantly Notre Dame will go a long away when added to the beat down they gave what could wind up being the SEC Champion. Ya'll have a heck of a football team. USC barely lost on the road, ya'll got your teeth knocked out and were able to go to your local dentist

Your argument regarding USC is probably futile. If you and UC win out they will get the nod. They will have beaten four teams that were ranked at the time of the victory, and five teams that will probably finish in the Top 25. All that aside, they don't just have a regular old head-to-head with you, they annihilated you. That is not going to be overlooked. That said, USC has two solid opportunities to lose.

True. But the fact that we lost the first game of the season and took 9 wins to get respect is dumb. And the fact that they jumped back to #3 in the BCS after losing two weeks ago is ridiculous. They lost to an unranked team...we lost to a Top Five team almost 3 months ago.

That is why Razorback Nation are all Cal fans this week...is sick as that makes me.

I think ND has a good chance to beat them also, but I'm not sure I'd want a 1-loss ND in the mix if I were a 1-loss SEC team.

if you lost a close game, you would have more of an argument. But you didn't. USC went off. Ya'll are a lot better now, but the BCS rewards consistency. The fact that USC came so close to that comeback sticks in the heads of human voters which in the end makes a big difference.

USC is reaping the benifits of the last three years. It sucks for Arky but they will not jump USC if their records are the same.

Yeah Cal or UCLA needs to beat USC then USC needs to drop ND...then a one loss SEC team should be able to get in.

The Hogs are the best SEC team, no doubt. LSU has a much better run defense and defense in general than UT, so that will be a tough game for the Hogs. That said, if Hogs win out (and destroy Florida), USC loses to Cal but spanks ND, Hogs will play for the title.

I don't know if Cal can beat USC in the Coliseum.

USC has a far far tougher schedule than your Hogs. Not even close.

What I hope for is this:

Rutgers wins out
Cal beats USC
USC beats Notre Dame
LSU beats Arkansas
Arkansas beats Florida

Then we see the Knights play the BCSCG close or win.

I think the SOS' for each school are similar...especially if Ark plays in the SECCG. But, Ark didn't do themselves any favors by scheduling SE Missouri, ULM and Utah State, that's for sure...SEC games are just so much more physical than PAC 10 games, for the most part, so injuries mount...ask UT.

I've been watching Rutgers with interest since their last appearance at Neyland. Have a friend who went there. I'd love to see it happen(win out) but WVU gets them I think...

Slaton is something the PapaJohns just didn't have...

I have decided to root for this scenario as well.

But agree that the WV game looks like a problem for the Knights.

if you lost a close game, you would have more of an argument.
Southern Cal could've won that game by 1 point and Arkansas still wouldn't have an argument to make it in the NCG over Southern Cal if they both end up with 1 loss.

USC is also reaping the benefits of crapping on Arkansas in Fayetville.

Also, concerning the Rutgers-WVU matchup and the Ville reference... I could've sworn that one guy said the Papa makes players in red run faster.
