And what exactly does this have to do with Tennessee Football. You better not be implying that we suck!

I think most SEC teams don't show up for meaningless bowl games because we don't play for stupid bowl games in this league. Its championship or bust for most teams.

All this chart says to me is that the weaker the conference, the easier it is to get to a BCS bowl.

Actually the S.E.C. West teams do very well in bowl games, even non BCS bowls but the S.E.C. East doesn't do very well in bowl games.

Its hard to believe that we won the first BCS championship gm and haven't been to a BCS bowl since. Besides the butt kicking we took from Nebraska

We got seriously screwed over at least once or twice by the BCS selection process. It was a complete joke for instance that we went from being #1 before the 2001 SECCG to the outside of the BCS in one bad half of football. AND they took Florida who we had just beaten in Gainesville.

You mean #1 in the SEC? Miami was #1 in the country.

I'm not sure what other year besides 2001 we would could say we were screwed out of a BCS spot.

I think we had at least some argument in 2003 as well, though not as strong as in 2001. We were sitting there in the #6-10 range at the end of the year and the BCS and at least one or two other bowls passed on us.

True, we did go 10-2 and won at Miami in November. I can buy not getting a BCS bowl but dropping down to the Peach Bowl was a load of bull, especially the Outback taking an 8-4 Florida team we beat over us.
