BCS is GONE

No way they will do 16.......that's too many games. Risk of Injury is to high, and the teams would be worn out by time they got to the final four. Plus not to mention all the extra practices they would get. It wouldn't be fair to the other teams.

In all honesty, I think 4 is the perfect number to do playoffs in football.

16 would be perfect. Heck, it's only one more game than with 8....

They will go 8 eventually, with one spot probably for the best mid-major.

I think 16 is perfect. You let all the conference winners get automatic bids and fill out the remaining based on ranking. This will guarantee the best teams will get in plus you give some "Cinderella" teams from lesser conferences an opportunity.

What happens if a conference has a 3 way tie for first?

Y'all had your down period. Hopefully we are coming out of ours.

Tennessee won't stay down forever. At least you now know what it's like to get major sanctions, but you didn't have to go through the off-field embarrassment.

Don't know who will win the final BCS Championship but Tennessee will always be remembered for winning the first.

Only by UT fans and those that Google it in the future. Bama was the 1st champion of the Bowl Coalition Series, who cares?
