Stanford will jump them if they beat Oregon next week.

Yep.

Upon looking more at the tiebreaker rule, bama is more than likely in the driver's seat if (not saying they will) Arkansas somehow upsets LSU

....that tiebreaker rule has a little bit of a - surely unintentional - "when opponents played each other" effect that perhaps at some future point needs to be looked regarding later usages

I'd say that the chances of a rematch for a NC are a little better than I thought they were after the game.

really, too, we should at least mention a bit about Baylor getting a 25 ranking while not only being unranked in both polls, but having a total of like 4 votes between the two

...computers seem to really like them i guess

Garbage rankings system 101. Not surprising at all.

in the making again....Boise VS Houston in the Fiesta Bowl...Hush money and no 2 big schools have to lose to "the little guys" again.

Houston moving up into BCS bowl contention as well at 11

unfortunately how high boise is ranked means Houston loses the at-large AQ bid status that would come with them being ranked higher than 12

Now some BCS bowl could still choose to take them...but it'll probably be much less likely for them [to be chosen] over a nearby team since the selecting powers no longer are bound to

There are no words for how much I'd enjoy the hilarity of them stealing a BCS bid from an Arkansas or Virginia Tech.

pretty likely to not happen at this point. Boise takes the AQ mid-major-above-12 tag for being ranked higher

Fiesta, orange, rose, sugar, whichever bowl is free to just decide to take someone like Arky or VT along the thought lines of "they'll bring in more views/money"

...unless houston can get much higher, I guess

As much as I'd like to see it I just can't see Houston making a BCS bowl. Probably looking at a 2006 Fiesta Bowl rematch instead

nope...gonna be the same as the TCU/Boise Fiesta Bowl 2 years ago.

if the Houston thing doesn't happen...I'm seeing Boise in the Sugar Bowl.
The SEC is all about the money and the money would be more for a Boise VS SEC than a rematch with OK...IMO.

except they were both top 6 teams in that case; Houston needs to make some more ground up...they sit at 11 - maybe even 10 - they can just easily get left out

im not saying they won't make it...but they sit where they are, then it's a bit less likely

(also, i believe a part of TCU's inclusion there tone time was the Rose Bowl meeting a "taking one team not in the Pac12/Big 10 once every 4 years" clause)

But they are one spot behind the ACC leader and way above the Big East leader...Houston...IF they don't slip up will make it to a BCS game....and knowing the BCS, they will put them and Boise in a game together...just to shut them up.
Just like TCU/Boise.

It's more about the money. If Boise gets in the NC game are their fans going to pay the $2,000 per ticket that Auburn fans did last year? And its in New Orleans this year, so LSU may drive prices higher.

For what would literally be a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity, yes. Boise's fans travel the best out of any non-BCS school (TCU's up there as well).
