Be Honest. Do You See Three More Wins This Year?

Absolutely not, not even close. I see maybe one more win and I wouldn't be surprised if we won our last game of the season yesterday.

Before this game yes.
Now it's pretty evident what we have. (a competitive Sunbelt caliber team)
Our signature win this season could be Vandy.

No not really. I know one thing if Butch want to go bowling next year he needs to go out and get a Dual threat JUCO QB. Secondly we NEED a bowl to get those extra 15 practices.

I think you are right in going after a juco QB. I know we do not have any play makers this year, but our O-line is the biggest bust of all. It was suppose to be our strong point.

Probably not but I have been surprised before. Even the teams that we might beat (Kentucky, Vanderbilt and maybe Missouri) will be studying film and realize that our defense is suspect. We are too young in too many places and our offense just cannot do anything because of QB play. We need a bowl game for recruiting so Coach Jones has got to figure a way to get 3 wins. GO VOLS

I'm trying to ask this without sounding like a smartA$$ but what would going to a very low tier bowl game do for recruiting?

I know about 12 years ago, Jason Allen was able to participate (or attend) the Citrus Bowl practices because he was an EE. Can they still do that? If so, that's a benefit.

To me, simply going to a bowl game isn't. The Beef O'Brady's Bowl is played 30 minutes from my house and I couldn't tell you who played in the game last year.

If we run the ball... do short passes... screens ... run 2 back set in backfield....qtb protects the ball. We could win 6 games.. if we continue the long ball throws and get away from running the ball maybe 4 wins...

All teams have down games.

Bama had one during their NC year and almost lost to Kiffin's TN team.

LSWho had one against Dooley, and almost dumped.

Both of the above were at home, btw.

So it may be that this was just one of those bad days for UT, that thankfully ended in a win.

That is as positive as I can get at this point.

Three poorly played games in a row is more than a bad day; it's a trend. Every week, I downscale expectations that were modest at the outset. I'm sure every team left on our sked considers us very beatable. And right now, the way we're playing, we are.

Breakdown the stats vs the 2 legit D1 teams we've played, Oregon and Florida, and report back to us. Not trying to be a jerk, but we're done with the FCS cupcakes. The next 7 games are gonna be brutal. Just hoping we're competitive vs Auburn, Mizzou, Vandy and Ky and can get 1 or 2 wins vs those guys. Next 3 games are blowout losses that will significantly change the stats you cited for the worse. Not trying to be negative, just saying the truth. This year and next are gonna be very difficult to take.

All games are winnable. That being said, some of these games will have an obvious wide talent and depth gap. But the last 4 games on our schedule are not that way. We are plenty talented enough to beat all 4 of those teams. To win them, we'll have to improve on both sides of the ball and execute, and hold things together through what is likely to be a big storm with UGA, USCe, and Bama. I think coaching is going to be huge over these next few weeks, and the coaching and players' response to it will determine how many of those games we win. I sure would like it to be 4! And if somehow we were able to win one of those unlikely three, confidence will carry the team the rest of the way. Man, that would be nice.

Go get em boys.

Auburn is a loss. They are gonna be another great team soon.

The problem is after we lose 5 straight having the right mental attitude against Vandy and UK is going to be tough.

You mean w kentucky for our signature win. We will be outcoached in most if not all games left. Our staff has a long way to go.

Our offense cannot complete passes to open receivers while the QB stands flat-footed with no pressure. Our O line cannot get a push on USA and has our RBs getting tackled for a loss in the backfield(did I mention against USA). Our D cannot stop a basic quick slant passing attack, still gives way too much cushion on the edges, can't tackle and has horrible edge control, along with our D line giving little to no pressure by the second half(against USA). So I'm thinking NO......

hopefully uga is flat and overconfident after that huge lsu win so UT can keep it close for awhile

At this point, no. If our team actually improves, yes.

partially agree. I think the team is improving but being held back by stagnant QB play...

THIS HAS BEEN MY FEAR SINCE SPRING BALL..

I think if somehow someway WORLEY can get it together and be an average QB we will be much more competitive
