Im fine with their coach being cooler as long as ours wins more. Belichick, Saban etc have never once in their lives been described as 'cool'. In fact one would say the opposite.. so heck yeah keep being uncool Heup.

Danny White please give Heupel a blank check I don't ever want another Butch/Beamer, Pruitt, or Dooley type again. Remember the egos on Butch and Pruitt even though they were garbage coaches? Heupel has us places they could never dreamt of being and he's as humble as ever. Brings tears to my eyes how much I appreciate having the right guy for the job!

I don't know about all of that. However, I love the fact that our kids are fighting like heck to win. You can see an overall different level of effort out of our boys. If CJH has done nothing else, he has gotten the most of the boys in orange!

I think the majority of coaching searches are crap shoots. Very, very few sure things. Many schools hire very good coaches (not sure if that one is or not) but it just doesn't work, for a variety of possible reasons. Scott Frost is the perfect example. There are many examples of guys that are good and take a job and it doesn't work. That's why I think you see more coaches stick at places, like Wittingham at Utah, Campbell at Iowa State. Calhoun at Air Force is another. Sometimes is smart to stay at a place you like and that likes you, even if it means passing on a bigger opportunity.
