re: Storming the field

Why not. 9 years is beyond biblical in waiting to beat this team. Anyway, I watched LSU storm the field after beating us, and was in Athens to see GA storm the field after beating us, and I don't think there is any shame on their part.

Having edges does not equate to victories. And BTW....UF has elite level athletes for depth....when 2013 class ranked 4th...2012 ranked 3rd....2011 ranked 12th...2010 ranked 2nd. They have PLENTY of quality highly sought after athletes to fill holes. They should have an edge against every team they face.....every game they play....2011 is the only year another east side team Georgia out ranked them in recruiting per Rivals.com. So when your roster is full like that and your play takes a nose dive like that....whose fault is it?

stop. i don't care what the recruiting rankings say, the talent on the offensive side of the ball is horrible.

for all that wonderful recruiting, they will be starting three transfers on offense.

at some point, you get judged by what you are doing at the college level.

at the college level, florida has ranked outside the top 100 in the country in offense since 2011.

when horrible get injured, it's replacements take horrible to a whole other level

If we beat Florida, the field will be stormed. We've been pretty mediocre for a while and have lost 9 straight to the Gators. You can take it to the bank the field will be stormed and goal posts will come down.

Im sure I am not the only UT fan/alum that is sick and tired of watching this team kick our ass year in and year out. I cant believe the last time we won this game was back in 2004. I want to beat this team so badly I can smell it! This is the year we MUST do it. I don't care if we win any other game on that schedule. Hell, I swear I wouldn't care if we lost every game as long as we win this one.

JUST BEAT FLORIDUH!!!

Count it! Book it! Bet on it!

Musk-champ will be our D-line coach, next season...

It would be great to beat Florida this year, but I don't see it happening.

Florida doesn't have a great offense, but neither does UT.
Just look at the stats from last season.

Florida had a lot of injuries last season. UT had one of the worst defenses in the SEC.

Im gonna propose a question that always seems to get a good response. Do we rush the field if we beat Florida this year after 9 long years? Debate

Absolutely not. Act like you've been there before. We'd better not storm the field against a team that only won four games last year. Storming the field is for a team like UK when they've not beaten us since my mother was pregnant with me.

try losing for 30 years to two teams in the same conference. yes we're kentucky and we suck at football but 30 damn years is pitiful to not get lucky once.

That being said, UT has a very good chance this year. Hope the beat the living crap out the gators.

I want to disagree so badly but it's so true. .

How were you able to find the gems? Seriously. I type specific info in the search box and get all sorts of stuff.

I searched "titles" not posts. Selected the football forum. limited it to threads with at least 50 posts.

also, find posts from any date and older.

my search was simply "beat florida"

Its true. But also sounds exactly like the Vols minus the good recruits.

No. Storming the field is for teams who have never been "there."
Well. Teams don't storm the field. That's a job for the fans. For the players: Each and every time they score on those mullet-heads, the men donning power "T" helmets should act as if they had no doubt they would score. Just drop the ball or toss it to a ref, clap and trot to the sidelines while casually waving to the fans. The fans: Go out-of-this-world crazy for everything positive! Go absolutely berserk! Make ear bustin' NOISE! That's what fans do. The more Neyland rocks...the better. Pull 'em down!

Bring down the goalposts?

The students would have to find their way to the game before they could find their way onto the field.

Read the entire post.. we were used to Winning then. It did not matter what we did... at that point we could do whatever we wanted.. I know.. I Helped bring the post down and carried it down the street. I actually thought we Missed that field goal for a second until I heard everyone else cheering.. I had a terrible angle on that mean ole goalpost:)

Go Vols

I'm jealous.

I get what you and others are saying, act like you've been there before, but when we beat fl I say let em have fun. We've been thru the worst 5 years in Tennessee history and are still putting 90+ k fans in the stands. We deserve alittle celebrating....imo more so than 98.

No because it would cost UT about a $100,000 fine since fuddy diddy Slive has tried to take all the fun out of SEC sports!
