Last time I checked he isn't coach or head of the AD. So...nice try bud.
We don't have anyone in the AD that would say this is a pathetic move. Dooley would never had signed off on this cause unlike CBJ he knows and respects Tennessee traditions and would have understood that this is beneath UT. Like Dooley or not but the man understood and respected UT traditionally. To him UT was the summit of SEC football.

I'm trying to decide whether you're just takin' a piss at us with the bolded part or not. Dooley brought our program to a new low by getting thoroughly embarrassed by Vandy last year. Jones, whether you like him or not, is trying to reverse the defeatist mentality which now pervades our program... and this is one way he's trying to do it.
Hypothetical question ov... which would be more embarrassing? Not having the bonfire and losing to Vandy at home (and consecutively for the first time since what, the 40's?), or having your embarrassing bonfire, winning, and becoming bowl eligible for the first time in three seasons?
