wake up race morning to rain. decide to head to the track any way and hang out. they get the track dry and start the race. it starts raining again. hang out and wait for them to dry the track again.

it sucks to be a fan at the race right now. i feel their pain.

there is a 100% chance i will not be awake if this race gets back going again tonight.

Amen, I know of that which you speak. Only race fans will do this.

i've sat around at baseball games from 11am to 11pm to see them in their entirety.

Also have friends that have wasted an entire day on a golf tournament round that never materialized.

Well, back in the summer I had a church league softball tournament that started at 8 AM and due to numerous rain delays the 8 team double elimination tourney ended a 21 hours later at 5 AM. This really is crazy. Maybe Nascar will wisen up and not put back-to-back West Coast races together. I'm not really blaming them, but why not get up at 8 their time run the busch race and have the cup race 2 EST tomorrow. Then again, those poor fans that are left are pretty dedicated

I read that we're going green at 1 AM EST and the Nationwide race is supposed to start at 5 AM EST. Craziness

Just messing about the Nationwide race it's at 1 tomorrow

Hopefully we're green by 1:15 1:30. That would end it around 4. Then I can get up go play some basketball and make it home in time to see the Nationwide race by 1

unfreakinbelievable 2AM now at earliest. I'm starting to get angry, I was ok with it till noon. There comes a time when it turns out that they're not even saving time. It will be 6 AM before this is over.

Yes, Clowers, even though they said at midnight it would start, then at 1 AM it would start they have since moved it to 2 AM for the next update. This is hilarious

Wow... can they not just postpone the race until tomorrow?

Also, if the race was postponned, would they restart from lap 1 or continue from lap 87?

Maybe Nascar heard that the sunset was hurting the drivers vision so they decided to start it for sunrise

Guess I'll just have to watch some highlights in the morning... or maybe they'll still be racing, haha.

87. The thing about it is if they restart it the Nationwide or the Cup race would start around 8 AM local time. So really, they aren't even saving time anymore. And Fox has even changed the 2 AM start from start to an update. Leads me to believe that they are having more complications with the track so it may be later. I know it's only 11 at Cali, but still, ending a race at 6 AM on the east coast is insane.

You know, it's a shame Casey Mears continues to hurt Dale Jr. on the race track. At Daytona, he blocked a run that Junior had with Tony... wrecked himself. And tonight, he wrecked himself (can't blame him too much because of the track conditions) and Junior.

Junior needs to avoid being near Mears at all times, ha.

He really does. I was against them starting this from lap 1. And if they pull a Kansas or Pocono from last year and don't even run the scheduled laps, I'm going to be irate. I doubt that Cali even has more than a handful of fans left. The fans still there should be awarded, or have their sanity questioned
