I had a Wicked Weed Brett with Blueberries tonight that was really good. I've definitely acquired the taste for sours.

Now that Wicked Weed sold out, they are distributing in new places. Saw some in Charleston a few weeks ago.

Southern Grist’s Coffee Fluffernutter imperial stout is top notch IMO. The regular fluffernutter was solid, but the addition of coffee made it damn near perfect.

Try it out if you’re in Nashville

I’ve experimented with all kinds of IPAs and DIPAs and I keep going back to my old faithful, Stone IPA. I really enjoy this beer so much. And you can find it just about anywhere now. Probably my number one go to beer

Do you get the drink by releases when they are out? I really enjoy those.

Yeah those are solid. Stone is just an overall damn good brewery

They opened a spot in an historic building in Napa days before I left, a short bike ride from my old house. Bummed I missed out on that, I had been looking forward to it opening.

You missing Napa? Ever plan on moving back?

Nice. We lived in Oceanside for a while. I would recommend Encinitas or Carlsbad

Like both of those towns. I have friends that lived in Encinitas when I first began visiting the area, now they live in Solana Beach and I have gotten to know a lot of people there.

Can you not get it there?

Not that I have been to numerous stores, but I am not aware of it being distributed to the south/southeast. Between traveling myself and friends, I have never seen it. Based on Russian River's site, it appears the only distribution East of the Mississippi is in Philly.

Chavis, do you want a bottle of Mexican Cake? I can send one to you.

I don't want money. All I ask in return is just beer, whether it's something I can get or not.

I will be glad to share email addresses if you would like one.

An IPA from the Abbey Brewing company in South Beach. This is quite refreshing after the beach and biking around in the Miami heat. This is now my favorite bar I have been to down here, helped by the first three songs I heard were by The Smiths, The Cure and New Order.

I am liking it, obviously way different, I can get in the ocean here. The thunderstorms threw me off at first. One of my first nights I was awakened by thunder and my first thought was an earthquake.

Just had a Stone IPA and am now on a Lagunitas, so a little taste of home. Already a bad fire season in Cali, worried about the next few months.

That’s great to hear. Massive hear wave here, always worried about fires. Glad to see you get some Cali IPAs. Take care
