Beer sales at WVU football games approved by board

my understanding is that state owned on campus stadiums can't sell beer. what schools actually sell beer at this point? you can get it in a lot of the luxury boxes, but generally not the public. i've been told WVU fans are a class of redneck by themselves though. probably a bad idea.

I'd rather put up with those rednecks than your tree huggin group out there!! Bunch of damn hippies!!

While it has been proven it can be down with success, See UofH for an example, this is a terrible idea all around.

Of course, its not the $9.00 Bud Light in the stadium that will be the cause of the problem, but rather the $11.00 thirty pack of Schaffer's Light the students a crushing at the pregame tailgate.

Furthermore, John Denver just rolled over in his plane.

Meh, income I guess. However, I've gotten to where drunk morons more of less kill my desire to attend sporting events live.

It's either #1 or #2 on the reasons to stay at home and watch it on TV with the other beign traffic.

Paying to spend an afternoon with obnoxiously drunk rednecks and college kids isn't really my idea of fun.

Think of the stimulating drive home with that crowd.

No thanks.

if it stops people from attending games yes it does.

Let me explain something. It's a bunch of guys like us that are on the farms, ditch diggers, welding shops etc that let loose on a football Saturday because for one day all your worries are gone away. It's a
way of life.

I don't what you are talking about. I have been to many Vol games, Titan games, predator games,NASCAR, and even Brave games. I have yet to see a drunk fan.

heck, I'VE been drunk at Titans and Preds games.

The big de-motivation for rip roaring drunk at these events is the cost. $7 for a big beer or $9 for a big import adds up. That means a 6 of Corona/Hein is $36. Better hope your spouse cant keep up with you.

Airplane bottle smuggled in is much cheaper than buying there.

With prices of the alchohol & the wait in line to get a drink it shouldn't be too big of an issue. It'll probably be Utah watered down beer.

Because those things always prevent people from getting retarded drunk at sporting events.
