What? No Narragansett?

In my lifetime, I've had a lot of the cheap beers in my earlier and mid years. In the past 20 years, I can't find any that compare to some I've had in the West. So, back in Tennessee now, I just drink whiskey.

Well, I still drink Gansett, that's my "regular" beer I suppose, always have a few kicking around the fridge

This. Drinking IPA's to me is like drinking cheap scotch. I don't care much for the lingering taste.

Do you even IBU, bro? Not sure where you're living, but the variety of great IPAs we have access to in the SE makes it an almost certainty that someone is brewing something of the hoppy variety that's for you. You say it's like drinking cheap scotch, I say you're drinking the wrong beer.

I was into Belgian Sours in college because I wanted to get in the grad students' pants.

Other than dollar Hi-Lifes at dive bars, I was never a big beer dude.

A little uppity aren't we.

Not sure where you get that but ok. I'm just not a fan of the watery rice/corn beer most of the macros put out. I will drink it if offered and certainly dont think less of anyone who enjoys it, I just dont spend my money on it. Everyone should drink what they like.

And I say he's drinking the wrong scotch. Lagavulin has the most distinct and lingering aftertaste of anything I've tasted (Not that that's a bad thing).

To each his own, but I really enjoy the fragrant, citrusy, cut-grass notes of a good West Coast IPA.

These are opposite ends of the spectrum to me. IPAs are big hops. Porters are low hopped/big malt.

Not being a fan of the hop craze I like Porters but not IPAs

IPAs are so good. Accounts for most of what I drink, but I like chocolate porters and coffee porters.

Hopsecutioner, Hop Nosh, Sculpin, etc. FTW

I went through the required Natty Light faze in college. I went through a Miller High Life faze in my late 20s. I haven't had either of those along with Bud, Bud Light, Miller Lite, etc in a long time.
