Before Everyone Goes Off The Deep End...

Who and what are you talking about. I must be on the wrong page; I thought we just signed a 6'9" Nigerian with very little experience and questionable skills. I don't see how that translates to the big slow guard you are referencing.
The Nigerian is a 6'9 or 10 post player that will see little playing time behind Hall and Maymon.
In the few minutes he played behind Uchebo at word of god, he put up very good rebounding numbers.
Zo will make Hall a solid 30+ minute player and the likelihood that Makanjuola sees the floor will be doubtful.

I realize Coach Zo is in a tough spot this year. I'll be more interested in how he recruits next year.

Agreed. How many schollys will we have for next year? Because it could be (and needs to be) a big class.

It is going to take at least 3 top ten classes in a row...maybe four

Disagreed. This isn't football. One top ten class puts us back in the tournament, two in a row makes us SEC contenders--possibly favorites.

Don't hold your breath.

I've just about reached the point I don't even think bball should waste a minute going to the city.

It's going to be entertaining watching Pastner and Anderson go after recruits. Actually, watching Pastner scramble to match Anderson in the city.

Just remind them how their deity treated Daniel West. That should blunt that line of discussion.

Should is the key word...but we know with them it won't...sadly.

My dad is the worst of all of them and I argue with him all day via email about Pearl and what he did to the program...it is exhausting:no:

but won't that get Tennessee in APR trouble again? They just dug out from that hole and you don't need that on top of whatever NCAA scholarship restrictions are coming.
As many as he needs. If he can recruit over guys, they'll be politely asked to find another school.

Not as long as they are in good academic standing when they leave.

remember that Pearl's first recruiting effort at UT consisted of losing Tyler Smith and Jamont Gordon and bringing in Ryan Childress.

I agree with this...I will not judge the Coach on how he recruits this year or any other until we find out what the NCAA sanctions will be....Whether he gets 4 or 5 recruits doesn't mean a lot to me either..I will just settle for good players that always give their best effort despite their limitations, and those that will not give up like our team did against Michigan...That was sickening to watch...Watch the old films, last years team did not play hard for most of the time..

We gotta start getting these Memphis kids.

Yes...If we could get start getting in the pool of the Memphis talent, we could really start to build some tradition...I never remember us being able t recruit there on a regular basis

Handcuffed this year, nothing he can really do about it.

People saying otherwise are crazy.

Logic to a mouthbreather?

Have you ever used this term before seeing hat post it? Does that make you a Hatophile?

In my opinion, this term is used up. If you want to continue with your zingers please find new material or at least request ideas from your leader.

Wow! It only took you two years and less than 500 posts to come up with this. You are obviously intellectually way above most posters on here. I sure NYVol greatly appreciates your contributions.

Great point hat. Tireless recruiting efforts and the resources UT has should keep us in contention in the SEC under Martin. Pearl brought in Childress his first year and was bringing in his type of systematic talent soon after. I'm thinking Martin will probably land a couple of top notch guys next season.
