Before you burn your TN gear….

Lol there is absolutely no reason at all to burn it. We are 8-1 and headed for a great season so we can let this be what it was and move. Yea it suck but we are not where we was there for we don't have to react the way have in the past 10 years. We can now have the confidence in this team that we will be ready to go after a hard loss. Like I said yea it does suck but it can't overshadow what we have over come or where we are headed.

Never considered burning even in the past dumpster fire years. Disappointed loss but a whole lot still in front of us. GBO

CFB has proven over the years to finish crazy. Don’t give up. Anything can happen.

Regardless, we’ve had a run I’d bet none of us predicted.

Hooker & Co. will come back better than before.

I think that people are upset with the loss but as a whole I think that our fanbase is handling this in a realistic manner. I think it’s kind of stupid that our fans kept calling Bennetts phone last night though. Just a bad look.

If you're a rational person, you can't feel anything but good about this season. Short of a catastrophic meltdown, we're going to win 11 games for the first time in 21 seasons.

We all tried to look up stats to prove our theory that we could would win on Saturday, but being realistic, on paper this matchup should have been a massacre . Actually, so should the Bama game. We've faced two teams that have been stockpiling 5* players for years and we actually beat one of them.

When is the last time that you felt like we had a chance against anyone that had superior talent?

Every recruiting year....even the good ones with Butch and the ladder parts of Fulmer, I would see us sometimes be in the top ten in recruiting but with 4-5 SEC teams ranked ahead of us. I would think, can we hope the evaluations are wrong and we actually have a better class....cause there's no way we're going to be better at developing these guys or out coaching those other teams. Now, I think we have a guy that can develop kids and can out coach a lot of other guys.

When we have the type of talent and depth that UGA has, I think it's going to be exciting times on Rocky Top

This season is a MASSIVE success that no TN fan expected. But losing like we did is still bad. How are we supposed to get the type of talent UGA has when Kirby is still at UGA though?

We may not need to have a better class than them, but we can't continue on the trajectory we've been on.

JH took the field Saturday with a team with recruiting rankings of:
21,13,11,22 & 17 for a 5 year average of 16.8...and I'm not even factoring in the coaching change/defections

Kirby:
1,2,1,4 & 3 for a 5 year average of 2.2

We may not have to beat him in recruiting every year, but we need to be much closer than that.

The good news is that Bama also had similar classes and we did beat them. Nick is 71 and let's face it, he's either not going to be there much longer or he's going to start showing his age. I remember people used to say that Bobby Bowden could coach "forever" until he couldn't. I think Nick moves on before he slips, but either way, JH would be a great candidate to fill that void.

I'm hoping the momentum of this season will carry over into recruiting and start paying dividends there.

Three of the four games that I thought we could possibly lose this season we actually won:

LSU - We kicked their azz
Florida - Finally whipped their butts
Bama - Got the monkey off our backs
Georgia - We came up a bit short

I predicted we would to 9-3 but now we have a realistic chance of going 11-1...
Much better than I expected for season 2 under Heupel... With good recruiting over the next couple of years, we will be a legit challenger for a Natty...

GO VOLS!!!!
