Before you burn your TN gear….

I have been here for a little bit, this is the best L acceptance by the fellow yokels I have seen, IMO.

I still have every piece of UT Vols' gear I have ever owned and will be buried in it when I go.
lol if I asked to be buried in every piece of Vol gear I own, they wouldn't be able to close the casket. I'd be like a fuzzy orange version of the Stay-puft marshmallow dude. I'd be taller lying down than standing up. And I have no idea how they'd get that many hats to stay on my head. :)

Go Vols!

After the Bama win, I noticed some of those damn window flags on cars. Hadn't seen any in awhile.

I have seen UGA beat us 41-0 at home. I have seen countless Alabama beat downs by 21 points or more. A few by Florida. I remember Florida being up 33-3 at halftime in Neyland in 2018. This doesn’t even register as a blowout, honestly. There were multiple deep balls that if we hit, we would’ve been back in the game. Even at the very end, UGA fans around me were still were a little nervous when we recovered that last fumble.

I'm happy with this season i didn't think i possibly would ever see an 11-1 Tennessee team again
I agree. Learned my lesson during past 15 seasons. In the 90s I used to get so pissed about FL beating us every year. Didnt know how good I had it with 11-1 seasons and beating every SEC team but one. I swore if we ever had a team that good again I would appreciate all the wins more than mourn the losses. Ill be ecstatic with 11-1 and a playoff game or NY 6 Bowl. If we happen to make it to championship rematch with GA, all the better.

Never considered burning even in the past dumpster fire years. Disappointed loss but a whole lot still in front of us. GBO

I have purchased some Florida and Alabama apparel at Goodwill just to burn it. Never ever and never gonna even toast much less burn my wonderful beautiful Tennessee orange.

I faithfully wore my TN Vols golf hat in the summer and Vols toboggan in the winter the past several years. So faithfully in fact, that both were quite worn before the start of this season. Prior the Bama game (actually the BYE week before LSU), we went to Gatlinburg we stopped by the Vols shop and I stocked up on new hats. I even put a new "Volunteers" license plate cover on my car and big orange "T" sticker next to it. I didn't want to wait until after the Bama game so as to not look like a bandwagon fan. I drive I-65 into Nashville every morning and back for my commute. One day, a week after the Bama game, I was in heavy traffic in the far left lane with less than a car length between myself and the drive in front. Someone in a hurry rode up beside me in an attempt to "squeeze" between us. I didn't budge...hey guy wait your damn turn like the rest of us. A half mile later, the guy proceeded to pass us and the ******* rolled down his window and flipped me off. He didn't have any Bama stickers but had an Alabama plate. First time in over a decade I've been flipped off like that, and for little reason in my opinion. I don't think it was a coincidence.
