Beg Hinshaw to come back now

Thank you! All he's done is get fired....at MTSU, Memphis, and UT. Those are his last three coaching jobs.

I don't believe he was fired from U.T. due to job performance. He was fired because B UT ch Jones wanted to bring in Tee Martin.....

Shoulda never let him go until we had a lock to replace him.

Hey man im just gonna have faith they were smart enough to have a backup plan they preferred over Hinshaw. We may not agree with that backup plan but im guessin they had one. If they aren't smart enough to do that(and I think they are) we should just go ahead and run them out of town as something like that would be very Dooleyesque.

We are Tennessee we don't beg anyone for anything much less a damn QB coach. There are plenty of good recruiters out there. The name Tennessee sells not the name hinshaw!!!

He may be a great recruiter, but in my mind, a Wide Receivers coach needs to emphasize "catching the ball". Yes, Bray had his issues, but our wideouts could have really helped his cause by not dropping SO MANY BALLS this year.

You want Hinshaw as a recruiter, hire him to recruit. I want a WR coach who teaches wideouts to catch the ball. They were already fast when he got them ... he didn't teach them that.

Correction, most drops came from CP and Hunter. Hunter was scared and protecting himself and CP treated his routes like class. Look at the amazing transformation of Zach Rodgers. That speaks volumes.

It's amazing to me people place all this love on Hinshaw. It's like a guy who has had many gf's in his life. I loved this one because..and this one because...and yet they are still replaceable. It's the same with any coach that comes through here..at the present situation and the present time they are a fit but I'd prefer the HC makes a judgement call on what they feel they need to be successful then following along with some looney fan's "favorite". If we went by "favorites" in this program we'd be a hell of a lot worse off then we are now.

Hinshaw is a good recruiter not great just the best we had after Sirmon left. He can easily be replaced but I'm sure if he isn't retained it will be portrayed as another disaster by Vol fans.

Vols should at least consider keeping WR coach Darin Hinshaw. Good coach, best recruiter on staff past couple years. JMO.

Nothing signed, as far as I know. RT @proaudiodweeb: @wesrucker247 I thought KY had already snatched up Hinshaw?

Did you not see him transform White Lightning into our best WR? Plus, he has a bright future. Would love to have him as long as possible. Plus he knows our WR core after the draft defections. Just don't see how the next WR coach is gonna be any better than what we had. But hey, we are gonna have the greatest staff in the nation.
If Hinshaw is responsible for turning "White Lightning into our best WR," then is he also responsible for shortening Hunter's arms and making him wear a facemask that gets in the way of him catching the ball?

Uh no. Hunter played scared all year. If you don't see that, then you are a jackass. He dropped tons of passes. A lot of players had faults that came on the field. Players play and have to make plays. Coaches can only coach and put them in the right position to make plays.

Best post I have seen in a while. It is amazing that more people do not understand this concept.

Then again, people seem to thing that everything which happens on the football field is the coaches fault/praise.

My point exactly. You misunderstood my post. Hinshaw doesn't deserve the credit for Rogers, nor the blame for Hunter. You are a jackass if you don't see that. Most of Rogers' improvement is probably due to his hard work, and the fact that he was a senior. They usually get better after a few years. Look at Denarius Moore and Gerald Jones.

Hinshaw is better than Weist will ever be. Show props for CDH, he deserves it for what he did in his time here. One of the few good hires Doofey made.
