Being a Vol fan in Bama on Bama week.

It is hard to be a Vol fan in this poor excuse for a state. .. With that being said it is much harder on Bama week. All these cocky fans say we won't score we will get beat by 40 or more.I realize bama is (gulp) good but We can beat them if we control the trenches. We have a very experienced Oline and Dline. . If we can control those areas then look out... maybe just maybe on that one Saturday the Tide may fall. I think this defense overall is better than in 09 and bama offense is worst than 09 and we held them to 4 field goals that day. So maybe just maybe we win... then It will be a glorious week to be a Vol fan in Bama

I feel you brother!! Saturday is my championship game. If we win I'm gonna be so annoying for the next year to make up for the past 7 years of ish I've taken!!

I live in Anniston, AL. I proudly wear my orange and white. I take a lot of crap for it, but I am proud to be a Vol!

Haven't sold your house, changed jobs, and left family and friends behind to move to TN.......not a VFL imo.

I just posted this in the rival thread. This is what living in AL has done to me:

I hate the color crimson, houndstooth, and the cursive letter A. I hate the phrase Roll Tide and the various pronunciations their jort wearing redneck fans say it. I hate elephants when I visit the zoo but get a laugh from their elephant sized, jersey wearing, dip spitting women. I'm amazed but not surprised that someone like Harvey Updyke can ruin another school's tradition because they beat his beloved tide. I hate Paul Finebaum and his sorry radio show for giving him a forum to brag about the incident. Most of all, I HATE BAMA and always will.

You sir hit the nail on the head.... These arrogant fans really tick me off. I hate hearing them . Especially the ones who know absolutely nothing about football or their team for that matter. In the gym Saturday I had a guy tell me " Bama is doing good and the sad thing they have a freshman QB so he will be good for 3 more years". I then put my headphones back in and walked away

We might not win Saturday but be patient vol nation our time is coming. I really do believe that Butch has got something very special cooking up for our program in the next few yrs. GO VOLS!

Don't shoot the messenger, but I would love for UT to be responsible for the SEC NC streak to end this year.

Baumhower's Wings over in Jubilee Square. Wore my gear in there one night and the GM is a Vol Fan. Said they draw a good crowd.

I feel you bra. I lived in Bama for 7 of the 11 year win streak that Bama beat the Vols.

I lived in Alabama for 2 years while I was an instructor at SERE school. I felt that the Bama fans were not 1/2 as bad as Auburn fans! They (Bama) are confidant in their team and also polite. I hate kensucky fans and Florida fans. Then again I talk $4!+ to anyone who isn't a VFL.

I feel ya bro. I been a vol in a razorback state. Its even worse. There absolutely terrible and always are so when they beat us i hear it. I was at the game in fayetteville when game day was there and ainge was hurt. We got beat pretty bad. By half time i had to turn my phone off bc of all the txt i was getting. Skipped the following monday and tuesday of high school lol

I do that jewelry show at the hospital x3 per yr. I bring my RV there with the power T proudly emblazoned on the front. Stop by and say hi when we're there in December.

Will be in Bammerville this week showing the o/w!
