Just wondering.
It's been my experience that you can be hit hard and be unaffected but barley get clipped and be rocked.

Boxers disagree. I thought MMA was an advanced athlete. I'm not sure though. I've seen a lot of boxers take rounds of brutal hits. I'm new to MMA though.

4oz gloves make a huge difference from the 16oz gloves boxers wear.

I've done both. Tifwiw

You lost all credibility with that statement.

Credibility?
Are we on opposite sides of a debate?

I have fought golden gloves and fought in MMA. Boxing gloves are pillows compared MMA gloves.
There are many gyms I could meet you at if you'd like a demonstration.

Just after we get done putting a beat down on sly.

What. I just found this back and forth amusing. I think you are on a little too much nyquil saying something like that. Losing yo mind thinking you would smash me.

You do have that youth thing going for you.

My plan is to wait till we are almost done beating Sly, then slap a choke on you while you're not looking.

Makes the hits boxers absorb greater.

MMA gloves are smaller of necessity, to wrestle.

This can't be a serious statement. Heavier gloves make the punches power greater? That is an asinine statement. You should probably move along at this point, try to save face anyway.

You say you are new to MMA then question someone that has done it's credibility? That's funny. As someone that has also done both, trust me you would rather be hit with a boxing glove and it isn't close.

I've boxed. Nothing competitive. I've followed the sport closely. Enough to know that the gloves are not pillows. They are designed to protect the bones in the hands of the wearer, not the bones in the face of the opponent.

MMA gloves are smaller for the sole reason of allowing the wearer to wrestle, not to impact a greater striking force, which they absolutely do not.

You've done neither. You're a late teens/ early twenties internet hero. You prove over and over again your ignorance in topics in which you pretend to be an expert.

Then we should spar. You wear boxing gloves and I'll wear 4oz mma gloves.
Sound fair to you?

I'm an internet hero? Awesome! Wait you're are the dude argued with me over basketball right? Yeah you use this same tactic when you have no clue what you are talking about.

Well here's some knowledge for you. A study showed 90% of boxers suffer from head trauma. The reason being the heavier gloves allow boxers to absorb more blows. MMA is a clean ko because of the smaller glove. Boxers suffer repeated blows because the heavier gloves don't knock.them out. I'll be in town in April, I'll gladly meet you and give you a demonstration. You can wear boxing gloves and I'll use MMA gloves
After you wake up you can call me an internet hero again.

you clearly have no idea what you're talking about.

MMA was originally fought without gloves. When the LVAC took over regulation of the sport safty became a concern. Hands had to be taped to prevent breaks. They tried several coverings to soften the blow from taped hands including a cloth wrapping. Ultimately the 4oz glove was adopted.

A comparison to boxing gloves was never considered. And yes boxing gloves are way softer than mma gloves.

Wait the softer gloves protect ones hands but doesn't have any affect on protecting ones face? Yeah you are an idiot.

Signed, your internet hero
