No excuse for what that cop did to Bernard, but BK had too many run-ins with the law. Odds were he'd eventually run across that kind of cop in the 70s.


Condredge, otoh, was squeaky clean yet endured a lot of slurs and taunts from so-called fans. I'm amazed at his apparent lack of bitterness.
