Berry Twins

They're both all-Vol! How does your dad play for UT and ur brother get put up on billboards around the country & not go to UT?! ...just thinking logically!

Peyton Manning never went to Ole Miss like his dad did. He said he "wanted to create a name for himself and not walk in his dad's footsteps." Could be a similar situation with the Berry twins, just sayin'.

That isnt the entire story of why Peyton came to UT. Ole Miss was definitely his "school of choice" while he was an underclassman in High School.

Physically they may be better than berry... However, i don't think they will compare to him as a person. I think they may become "cocky".

Which wouldn't be a bad thing IMO.

i am not sure about that. You don't want them coming in thinking they are the greatest and best thing ever. You have to work hard to be a good player. Especially at the next level.

You can work hard and be cocky/confident though. I like that kind of attitude it just brings something different to the table.

So now we're projecting the character of 14 year olds?

In my opinion, if they aren't rated as five stars then we don't offer. We don't need to be like Texas and take Shipley and McCoy's little bro's just to save face.

haha, we are on here saying "both are all vol" and "I'll be surprised if the other doesn't commit in the next 12 months" and yet you are claiming them to be cocky?

As if their little bro's are bad players to target.

8th graders even if they commit thats 4 and a half years they got withe people telling them all the bad things about tennessee.then they decommitte like basketball players josh selby and anthony wroten, who committed 3 years ago as a freashmen then later decommitted if either one were committed with a solid verbal i would be a little happier.

i would imagine there are a lot of teams out there that wish they were in our position with these young players. it's safe to say that their older brother will be taking care of them until they make it on their own, and there's hardly any chance that both players don't have Tennessee in their final 3. Even with that history, these guys will still likely be the players we recruit the hardest.

And.................continue

Peyton was committed to attend Ole Miss along with his older brother, Cooper. Cooper was Peyton's high school go-to wideout, and signed with Ole Miss out of high school. During Cooper's freshman year at Ole Miss (Peyton's senior year in high school), he began to drop A LOT of passes, which was uncharacteristic of him as he was known for his hands. Extensive testing revealed a degenerative nerve disease (I believe that's what it was) that ultimately led to the end of his football career. Up until this happened, Peyton was committed to Ole Miss. After this, Peyton was crushed and re-evaluated his situation, ultimately deciding to sign with UT. The rest, as we all know, is history.
