Thank you all for posting in this thread and sorry for not replying sooner... life & stuff.
I was under the impression that Oregon's facilities are among the most elite, as are USCal, 'bammer, and a few other heavy hitters. Even so, I thought our Vols already had arguably one of the top 3 all-around football facilities in the nation. Considering this, I imagined that when the total design is completely finished, we would be arguably among the top 2 in the nation with #3 or #4 playing catch up.
I think we can probably all agree that major collegiate football is driving the expansion of all ambitious and traditionally powerful programs to constantly upgrade/renovate existing facilities, as-well-as add completely new additions to their programs. If UT is 1 of the top 2 in facilities when the current design is completed, it will be hard to hold that line without constant and continual renovation and construction.
One of the threads I saw earlier mentioned the inclusion of more practice fields and a couple of other upgrades to the student-student/athlete dorms, so it seems there is significant remodeling/modernization of pre-existing & newly constructed facilities. Those things should keep us in the top 5 until the university launches another major overhaul, which could potentially vault us the the #1 spot where program facilities are concerned.

This is the kind of stuff I think about every time I see someone comment something like, "Tennessee hasn't been a real perennial conference/national contender in years, there coach is relatively unknown, and Knoxville isn't a primetime city". It's quite obvious that these opinions are born from ignorance, even jealousy. I'm just glad we have, as fans, the ability to enlighten people by simply showing them a link to a tour like this - which probably won't wake them up anyway, haters/trolls are heavy sleepers...
We need a fan video that shows the winning tradition, the state-of-the-art facilities, the fan passion and the VolNation culture... then again, I'm not sure how long we'd use a video like that, since I believe the Vols are on the cusp of sky-rocketing to the top of the SEC East.
Go Vols!!!
