Switzer may have been 12-5 against CTO, but the OU teams during the 80's was like watching America's Most Wanted in the wishbone formation.

Yeah, and Lawrence Phillips, the Peter Brothers, et al were altar boys.

I think every major program in the 80's was using 'roids. Also, NU's QB was not arrested by the FBI in a drug sting.

Of course not. Osborne's roid heads chose beating up women as their preferred crime.

Yeah, every team in America was bringing in 180 pound farm yokels, turning them into 300 pound road graders, then watching them mysteriously shrink when they moved on to a league with sophisticated steroid testing. Osborne was a pious phony. Period.

I have to admit it is pretty telling when a team murders everyone in college and the has no players go on to have an impact in the NFL.

Putting aside any animosity towards the program that he coached for so long, I think that Dan McGugin deserves a mention. He was tremendously successful as a hfc and practiced law in the off season. Sort of the Bobby Jones of college football coaches.

I think we have to think about Neyland, because don't forget, he 6 years b/c of the war. He won four national titles and his winning percentage is top 5 i believe. He at least deserves in the discussion.

And my pick is Woody Hayes. Won a national title in three different decades. That's impressive.

Bob Neyland, last team to go undefeated and un-scored upon!

Whoever said Fulmer, Osborne, or Switzer, needs electroshock!

I put Bear Bryant behind Neyland, only because Neyland was 6-0 head to head with him.

Woody Hayes is my 1st pick followed by Rockne, then Neyland!

1. Hayes
2. Rockne
3. Neyland
4. Bryant
5. as much as I hate to say it, Meyer or Saban.... I'm gonna go throw up now

Kiffin makes his way onto the list in about 6-8 years hopefully!

Bowden should get some consideration... FSU was nothing until he showed up. He built that program
