Best in the SEC

You're half right. Are they still in Athens?

Lol. You know you should hold your barking friends in higher regards. They were on the the bama bandwagon here recently until their coach was able to right the ship and assemble the "Dream Team".

QB - Arkansas or Georgia
RB - Best Individual is SC, Best Unit is Alabama
WR - Arkansas, but I think Tennessee's will be really good
OL - Bama

DL - SC
LB - Bama
DB - LSU, with Bama on their heels.
I could agree with all of this, although I admittedly don't know much about South Carolina's defensive line.

Trying to be unbiased, I think Tennessee may have a claim to QB, WR, and OL next year.

QB - Alabama, got two of what everyone wants at least one of.
RB - Alabama, Richardson and depth guarantees best in 4th quarter.
WR - R-kansas, LSU.
OL - Alabama

DB - Alabama, LSU
DL - Alabama, Florida, SC
LB - Alabama, go ahead, retire this one.

Most productive offense, in SEC - R-kansas, the barn. (a scheme)

Most productive defense - Alabama (a tradition)
The bold pushes this post over the line from trolling to idiocy.

I may end up being wrong in September, but I would take Murray over your two QBs. Tough to say you have two of what everyone wants when you just lost a veteran starter at said position.

Let me guess, you heard that somewhere?
I'll agree if you have two QBs that don't separate because neither distinguish themselves.

On the other hand two excellent prospects that are gym rats, good leaders and great arms and the sky is the limit.

It's only a problem if the coach makes it an issue. And this is often true at other skill positions as well.

No, I experienced it.

If the coach decides to mix and match QBs, he's asking for a losing season. All that matters is having 1 quarterback. When 2 different quarterbacks see substantial playing time, the O-Line hurts. Each player will decide which QB they think is better, and it can lead to a split locker room, among other things.

So, either you have 1 quarterback and go for it, or you mix and match, and hope to God you've got Les Miles' magic. I'll go with the former.

Les Miles did a good job with his pecking order the last two seasons. Which was difficult in his situation, because often, both QBs were not performing. Their program just went 11 and 2 and is hardly in shambles.

I don't believe both Bama QBs will continue to get equal reps throughout the season. The eventuality of all great competition will be that one will eventually rise above the other. As good as Richardson was and is, he didn't get equal reps with Ingram. They both continued to see the field in any type game situation.

Managing players and creating pecking orders is not Coach Saban's weakness.

Comparing a QB carousel to a RB carousel proves you've got no clue what you're talking about. They're completely different.

it worked pretty good with leak and tebow but tim didnt really take many snaps a game so it didnt throw off leak too much

Exactly. When you throw a guy in there for 1 specific play, and you tell the line that they will be blocking for the run, that's not gonna be a huge change. It's when you start a game with one QB, but have no clue if or when you'll take the ball from him and give it to the other QB, that issues arise.

Agreed. The David Greene/D.J. Shockley saga comes to mind. May could also include Schaeffer/Ainge in there as well.

UT can make an argument for having the best QB in the conference, and maybe WR...but both are a pretty long stretch. Anybody thinking otherwise is deluded. The only place Bama has the clear edge is LB, and it is a two horse race at RB with them and USC.

By "carousel" I assume images of that fiasco interchange of ineptitude, going on with the vols last year at QB are still fresh in mind.
Dooley for most of the season, was making the mad-hatter look positively sane.

Beyond that, there are many ways to get two QBs involved in a game-plan. Provided you actually have two QBs and a coach that can execute one of those.

He is the best individual receiver, but I would say Arky has the best corps.

This is true.

LSU has a ton of unused talent at WR too.

If Rogers, Hunter, Milton, Arnett and Dallas mature, Tennessee is right up there with Arkansas.

UT may well end up having the best group. That's one reason I think they may win the East.
