In summer 1990 I was 8. This was a lineup I could get behind:

Gremlins 2
Back to the Future 3
Dick Tracy (McDonald's promoted the hell out of this)
Milo and Otis
Problem Child
Ducktales
Ghost Dad
And unfortunately Arachnophobia. My mom should never have let these older kids take me. Even though it was only pg13 it scarred me for life. My wife kills the majority of spiders found in our house. My kid pecks the glass on the tarantula exhibits at the zoo and I keep my distance in case they've figured out how to escape.

Other movies I couldn't see were Ghost, Die Hard 2, Total Recall, and Robocop 2.

We're the same age Outlaw. I didn't see Arachnaphobia til probably 1994 and I was terrified. The idea that spiders can get you silently while you sleep freaked me out so much.

1982 has to be up there.

Fast Times at Ridgemont High (pause a moment for us all to picture Cates in (and out) of a red bikini), Bland Runner, The Thing, Wrath of Khan, ET, Poltergeist, Rocky III, Road Warrior, TRON, Secret of NIMH, Conan the Barbarian, Pink Floyd-The Wall

We have a ceiling fan in our bedroom and sometimes it blows just right and I'm convinced one is crawling up my leg or back. Or I start thinking about one crawling up the headboard and onto my face. Thanks a lot whoever made that movie.

"Doesn't anybody effing knock anymore" or something like that, was Judd's quote when he got caught spanking the monkey (🐵). Classic. I was so in love with Phoebe and I thought Spokoli(sp?), Sean Penn's stoner character was so cool. I saw the movie a few years ago for the 1st time in years and realized a young Forrest Whitaker was the football star that destroyed the other team because he thought they had messed up his car.
