I spent a lot of time as a kid in Normandy. My grandparents lived in Cascade Hollow down the street from Dickel. I loved that place
I would suggest never jumping off Normandy bridge into the lake during the middle of a drought when it is 20' below. Lol not speaking from personal experience or anything... Actually ya I am

I was able to see the dam being built and the lake filling up. Back then the bridge right below the dam was an old iron job with wooden planks that rattled and popped when you drove over it.

As someone who lived in Nashville and is from Grainger County...no. Just no.

Depending on your priorities, there's several places in the area of both that I would argue are superior.

I’m ready to get out of Gallatin. But it’s now the biggest city I’ve ever lived in so that could have something to do with it. I’m actually ready to get out of middle TN altogether and get back to the mountains.
I was born and raised here. I lived in Fort Worth in the late 80s/early 90s. Part of me wishes I'd stayed out there.
