Best Player in College Football

Yep, you're a homer. :ermm:

You apparently haven't watched him. :) Let me see you think he is a 5'10 175lb. CB. He's basically a Linebacker right now. He weighs 42lbs. more than his backup and 15lbs. more than the biggest Safety on LSU right now. He certainly could play all those positions, you'll probably see him at WR for LSU eventually but I can't see him projecting there for the NFL. He weighs more than 2 starting LSU LBs right now.

The best CB in the NFL is 5'10, 190lbs. :ermm:

He's 6'1, 222lbs. That isn't NFL linebacker size. Furthermore, what in his skill set suggest he could be a competent LB on the professional level?

Nothing in his skill set suggest he could be an effective TE or WR in the NFL.

You're a homer.

I am biased of course.

In my opinion, I have never seen anyone with the ability, size, strength and speed as Peterson... that can do what he does at CB. Eventually he is going to be beat on a long play but pound for pound just a freak of nature. I could see him playing the following in the NFL Cornerback, Safety, Outside LB, TE and of course punt and kickoff return and special teams.

Ingram is awesome, I thought he was just good but he really impressed me against the Hogs.

Best RB Ingram, "best college football player" Peterson.
I can see corner and safety but certainly not tight end and im not sure about lb either.

You're a player hater. :)

No he is not LB for the NFL yet? Most of them have to put on 10-15 lbs. He is just as big as and even bigger than most of LSU's LB right now.

Nothing in his skill set suggest he could be an effective TE or WR in the NFL.

Boy this conversation just went downhill... ok I am out. Whatever I say you are going to say something about it. No most probably they will not draft him for WR but certainly could play there. He will most probably be playing D. Did you see the 2 INTs against Miss State, I think not... you don't make those plays without being able to play WR. His brother will be the top WR for 2012 class or up there BTW.

He's never played LB in his life, what exactly has he done that suggest he could effectively make the leap and play it in the NFL? Furthermore, who's to say he'll gain 15 more lbs? He's a grown man, he isn't a high school kid making the leap to college ball. Weight gains are a lot less drastic.

If you say something stupid, of course I'm going to call you on it.

See ya.

Edit: So getting picks suggest a CB can play WR?

Brian Urlacker was much smaller too, played mostly Safety in college, then gained weight.

There is no leap, he is an awesome tackler, it's almost like you haven't watched one game of his. You will see him playing up in the LB position on blitz plays, he is the best run supporter at CB I have ever seen.

If you say something stupid, of course I'm going to call you on it.

I didn't say anything stupid, you just claim a whole bunch of stupid things.

Let me see, you probably said last year he couldn't return kicks. He is too big to return kicks, he will probably step on his own feet. People like you are funny as hell. Let me see he can catch everything and he can cover everyone that plays WR and he can return kicks like nobody has ever done and he can't play WR.

Let me see, unless he returns a kick for TD against the vols he can't return kicks either.

what exactly has he done that suggest he could effectively make the leap and play it in the NFL?

I haven't seen anything to suggest he couldn't. Not one thing.

He could start at any of those positions at LSU if he choose too, when you are draft you don't have that choice. He choose CB... but even played RB in Hs.

Well, I'm done here. Have fun watch PP playing TE, LB, Safety, WR, CB, and special teams in the NFL. :good!:

I never said he was going to play all those positions. Why do people like you come to a forum to say people say things they didn't. He will most probably project as CB-SAFETY-OLB, of course if he is a returning running kicks back someone is going to want him on offense just like they are doing at LSU now.

Next I guess it will be that I think Peterson will be used as head coach. Never said he would be used at all those positions. He projects at CB-SAFETY and I could see him as OLB on a quick D scheme.

gotta mention the heisman leader denard robinson

that boy is nasty with his legs and when he gotta go deep

The kid has been unreal up to this point. It will be interesting to see if he can keep it up now that Michigan is starting Big 10 play this weekend.

I always love it when an opposing fan calls Ingram "overrated". There isn't another player at any position that I'd rather have on my team.

He's good, don't get me wrong. Richardson is better though, and you know that Standford Running Back was better.

Bumi's football knowledge is far superior to any other person's on this board. Kneel before him.

It is really hard to compare Ingram and Richardson, but I think Ingram is the better back of the two. Both are very good. Luck is the best QB in college right now and AJ Green is the best receiver. Overall, the best athlete is by far Peterson. I think Robinson for Michigan can make it into the equation if he keeps the play up against quality teams. He is a solid player.
