Maybe, if UGA goes undefeated through the SECCG and UT puts up a better fight against them than whoever they face in the CG

Is the best/easiest way to get in the playoff to lose a close game to Georgia and win all other games, 11-1 ?

The easiest path is to beat UGA and then we are in regardless. If we are playing in Atlanta, we are 12-0. At 12-1 with a loss in Atlanta, we would still be in top 4 and the SEC Champ would be in.

There are only like 6 teams left for 4 playoff spots:

Clemson
Winner of Ohio State and Michigan
SEC Champ
SEC At large (12-1 division winner or 11-1 division runner up)

Potential spoilers would be Ole Miss and TCU

I don’t think Clemson will be left out of the Playoffs. Only one of Michigan and Ohio State will go. Very happy USC lost.

Nor should they. Clemson dropped off badly when Lawrence opted for the draft. Now Dabo has them back. Ohio State and Michigan are the weakest schedule of the non SEC playoff contenders.

You beat Bama and Georgia I think you can lose the championship game and be in the playoffs, just like losing to Georgia in the regular season, still a chance at the playoffs. I say beat Georgia and go to Atlanta
Agree

I'm not sold on Clemson. I really don't think the media is either. DJ is just not the second coming of Deshaun Watson no matter how many times they try to spin it

You just hear nothing about them now. I mean, maybe that's not such a bad thing sometimes. Silent but deadly and all that. Face it though, with a 4 team playoff-the thing is a popularity contest at some level.

I don't think there are any of those comparisons anymore. They all started it in 2020 when he went ballistic in South Bend when Lawrence had covid. Then last year happened where he was full time starter and Clemson's offense was like 115th in the nation. He has definitely upped his game, but Dabo has tweaked things to where he isn't meant to be the next Watson or T-Law.

Their running game is potent and their defense is SEC caliber.

I have zero beef with Clemson making the playoff if 13-0 ACC champ. Atleast their schedule wouldn't be as cupcake filled as Michigan/Ohio State winner.

But at this point what game are they going to drop? I think the ACC championship is the only hope.

Or, or just beat UTM this week and win out.
Yes we need to take care of business against UTM and then concentrate on Kentucky. One game at a time folks just like a game, worry about the next play not the next quarter. I know I know some will say but but we are just fans .... blah blah blah. Repeat after me, .... UTM UTM UTM UTM !

We are fans, we can afford to speculate. Now if the coaches and players do that, then it is a problem.

You are correct that Kentucky is a tough opponent that we need to be prepared for but it is still fun to discuss Georgia.
