Voting for the best show currently on TV.

You can vote more than once. Unless this is just a runaway, I will take the top 2 (or 3), depending on where a logical vote cutoff line is and do a head to head (to head) poll.

I just took the shows mentioned in the other thread in order of mention. I had to eliminate a few that were only mentioned once since only 10 options are allowed. If you want to vote for one of those, it will have to be as a write-in vote.

I watched the first two seasons before I realized that it was utter crap. It just appealed to my inner biker that wanted to see all this violence and bloodshed.

The little biker gang that could.

They're taking on every single gang or mafia known to man, they sort of expanded SAMCRO's clout to the point where you can't help but roll your eyes throughout any given episode.

Sorta like Walter White...

Good point. Breaking Bad seems more contained and thorough with how they present it though.

Walter has taken on some badasses but he's not taking on the IRA, Mexican Cartels, the CIA, Asian Mafia and so on and so on.

He's simply trying to outsmart his crippled brother-in-law at this point.

O RLY?

Keep in mind he's also doing all this single-handed. Don't get me wrong, BB is so much better written than SoA. I'm just saying, being over the top isn't why I dislike SoA, because I love over the top, as long as it's done within reason and is well written.

I was enjoying Weeds, too, but I don't have Showtime, so I always forget to buy/rent the new seasons. It was the same thing. Nancy kept getting herself into these impossible situations and then finding a way out.

Although Walt is doing everything through careful manipulation and by taking people out individually (for the most part...)

I haven't watched SoA in a couple years, so I don't know how crazy it has gotten, but I imagine a lot of their takeover is through force.

I was just stating what SOA has SAMCRO up against.

I said Justified and Breaking Bad

I also think we should do a separate discussion for comedies, cause I think we all agree that there are some great comedies on tv right now, but we aren't able to really compare them to shows like this.

We exclude talk shows and the daily show/colbert in that topic though, for obvious reasons.

I was really tempted to vote Mad Men so it would get added consideration, but left it off because it sits at #4 for me.

1) Happy Endings (I mean, someone has to pick it up... right?)

2) Veep

3) Portlandia

Happy Endings is okay, but tries way too hard.

Portlandia is really hit or miss. Some skits are fantastic, many are terrible.

I voted GOT on that list, but Shameless is another great show.

The Walking Dead is my favorite; Breaking Bad is the best.

I think all the shows listed are very good though.

It's a good show but let's be honest, the writing and acting aren't on the same level as a Breaking Bad or Justified.

I'm a fan of SOA but it can be a little cheesy at times.

The writing on SOA is actually terrible. The show shouldn't even be in this vote.

To the highly intelligent people that voted Justified, you shall be spared when I take over the world.

POI is pretty good. Walking Dead is great, but last season was a roller coaster imo.

I hate Breaking Bad and Mad Men.

I voted Breaking Bad. I also like The Walking Dead. I tried watching SOA when it first started but couldn't get interested in it. I've never seen Game of Thrones. I only recently had HBO turned on.

The show I look forward to every week is Parks and Recreation. Voted for Breaking Bad.
Never seen GOT, SOA or Homeland, though. I've heard nothing but great things about Homeland.
